I feel bored. How odd.

Exactly as it sounds, I want those on RMN to force me to practice writing, or drawing. Simply request something, and give me a brief description, and I'll see what I can do. This is by no means for requests for any form of project, but instead a way for me to get better at various styles of art and writing.

Drawing: A fire hydrant monster attacking a woman who has salad for hair.
Well, since no-one else has yet, how about a Bunny Goo. Its like a cute slime blob with a smile and floppy gooey bunny ears. Not much else to say about it really...it could be doing cute things...Maybe it hopped on Kloe's head. Much squeeing to be had.

Edit: Curse you Gredge! You beat me to it while I was distracted by Midsomer Murders!!! *Shakes hoof at Gredge*
Writing: a noir romance between a psychiatrist, and an assassin.

Drawing: A human eye.

Protip 1: Remember that art isn't trying to replicate life: it's trying to replicate your perception of life. Often, the more accurate you try and make your image, the less accurate it appears. For example, you complain about how unrealistic your eyes are. They appear large and bloodshot. What is it that makes them look bloodshot? You're trying to draw the capillaries in the cornea. Instead of drawing the capillaries, merely suggest that they're there. On the wet lines (the part of your inner eye-lid that's visible) of the eye lids, draw a very fine, redish-pink outline, but don't draw the actual capillaries. This will help to suggest the presence of capillaries. Use a similar technique with the eyelashes. https://www.rpgmaker.net/games/8789/images/67349/

Protip 2: Draw from reference. As an inexperienced artist, if you're concerned about realism, then you don't want to draw from memory. Have a picture of what you're drawing next to you and try to make your drawing look as much like it as possible.
Writing
Do as you wish with this excerpt below. Alter it. Plug it in. Give it a back-story, or a continuation. Twist it. Turn it. Bop it. Go crazy :)
"Well... we tried," sighed the burly, mustachioed man. He tugged rather anxiously on the cuffs of his ash-covered trench coat. "What do we do with... with these?"

His companion shook her head, scattering dust and ash all over the place. "Same as the rest."

The man stretched his arms and sighed once more. "So much for my vacation..."

Here's a rough draft for Piano's request. Please, criticize both of these pieces.

Why didn't I think of doing something like that? 'o')

Either way, if it's not too late there's a new certain scene I find interesting to draw:
A Maid, however instead of the super-cute or emotionless maids we're so used to, draw one as a regular person chilling out on break time.
The how to's (style/setting) is up to you ^^

- The slime bunnys looks adorable, if I have to pick something, maybe a little too wide to its height, but still. ^^

- Can't really provide any useful criticism on the eye as it's sorta off-limits for me :p (Yes, even though I do two of those in my face.)
Floppy ears - curve at least one ear downwards over itself, so the furry back bit of the top of the ear is visible. Or the end of the ear could jut out to one side.

Eyelashes appear to be different lengths depending on what angle they are. The lashes on the middle to outer part of the top lid for example are going to look a lot longer then the inner top lashes. They tend to look more horizontal or at least diagonal than vertical. Depending on the shape of the eye they could be down-turned.

You wouldn't ordinarily be able to see any pink/red beneath the top eyelid unless the lids were being pulled apart.

The shape of the lids around the eyeball - the outer rim of the bottom lid should bulge out more than the inner rim from that angle. (Kind of so the eye makes a teardrop shape)

Yay, bunny slimes!

I agree with suzy_cheesedreams, adding a bit of curve to the ears could be cute. Also their body shape could be all kinds of shapes. But still they are quite cute. >.> Totally want to collect them in a future rpgmaker game.

This is actually much better than what I previously saw from you.

Drawing Tips:

1. Draw the iris and pupil as a circle first, then draw the eyelid over it and erase the overlap. If you're using actual pencil and paper, make sure you make the lines light so that they're easily erased and then to appropriately darken the lines you want to keep.

2. If you have uniform objects of different length in a row, draw them on a reference line. Erase the line afterward, or in the case of the eye, you may want blend it with the make-up.

Here's an example of the first two tips:

Points of Anatomy:

1. The curvature of the nose doesn't follow the eyebrow, it resolves into the eyebrow. Instead of defining this curvature with lines, define it with shading.

2. The eye doesn't slant like that, not even Asiatic eyes. If you look at the Asiatic eye closely, you'll note that the eyelid tightens at the outer end more than other people's eyes, but it doesn't actually slant. Slanting is fine for cartoons, but for realism, keep the eye level.

I'll be coming up with an idea on what you could write sometime soon! I really like this idea of yours.
