[RMVX ACE] BEST ANTI-LAG SCRIPT?

Not 100% sure if this belongs in "Help Me," but I wanted to get some opinions on what's the best Anti-Lag script. I've been meaning to use one in my game, and there's a lot of options. If anyone has previous experience with them, I'd appreciate any advice on which one generally works the best, is the least glitch prone, compatible with other scripts, ect. Thanks.
I experimented with a few free ones and none really worked for me. Not to take anything away from the scriptwriters, but every one I tried either didn't reduce any lag or conflicted with some other scripts I had.

I ended up using Effectus - yes, which I had to pay for - but, omg. It worked sooo well. Was worth the cash.

I'm not a fan of using payed scripts. Not really because you pay for them, but because you usually can't legally use them in open source games.

Effectus is pretty rad (I accidentally ended up with a free copy of it when I was fixing a script for someone, but after I tried it out I deleted it) but as a scripter myself I don't really like using anything I didn't write myself; I'm possibly a bit of a snob or a purist, but I just like knowing exactly what code is running through my game without having to pore through scripts I didn't make.
