Just watch out, Makerscore masters, I'm catching up to you 30MS at a time!
Spreadsheet for February

what is this? explanation from the jan thread:
author=PentagonBuddy
So last year I did some statistical analysis on RMN stats for fun, but one of the things I couldn't easily do was compare things on a month to month basis b/c I didn't have nice spreadsheets to do that with

THIS year i'm making them on a month to month basis, so for the 3 people who might be interested, here's a link to january's sheet

This is the larger public folder it's in, which ideally is viewable by anyone

This is just spreadsheets, analysis sold separately

edit: if I messed up formatting or left anything out, lemme know

and now there's a spreadsheet for broadly comparing some things between months

Some interesting highlights:
  • For all the (somewhat) recent talk of RMN dying, there was an increase of 2,095,114 game page views between feb 2017 and jan 2017, +810 users, and +2,728 non-forum comments.
  • Incidentally, the games in the top 10 game page views category only account for 5.81% of the sitewide increase in game page views.
  • Looking at forum activity, there were 1440 more posts in Feb than in Jan, and 245 more unique posters.(update: actually, the +1440 posts includes non-forum comments as well as forum posts, so this is MISINFORMED analysis atm)

  • Something puzzling to me is the apparent increase of total # of downloads by 43,803(update: I was thinking of "downloads" as "downloads for a person to download a game" rather than "amount of times a game has been downloaded"

  • The percentage of games with a download but no reviews has dropped by 0.14%, which is small but still good to see

now I might have COMPLETELY fucked up math/the logic for a math somewhere, thus making these highlights meaningless, but hopefully I notice if that's the case

Actually now that I think about it I'm probably wording the months all wrong since wouldn't the february stat topic measure what happened mostly in january...and january measure mostly what happened in december.... Bl
