Wow no one even mention Zelda: Ocarina of Time Now I'm sad ...
That game killed Zelda for me. Add in Majora's Mask, and I gave up the title of Zelda fangirl promptly. My love for the series didn't return until Windwaker. However, the music in all Zeldas are pretty good, despite how repetitive the games may get.
The first three Zeldas were the definate best, among the best that Nintendo ever published. Though my crappy reaction and horrible timing make Zelda 2 so hard for me to play.

I only like one zelda song and that's the theme. You can never get tired of listening to that.

I LOVED The Orcarina of Time. It was my favo game up until the 7th grade. It's the only zelda game I have played.
I agree, it did have some great music. The Forest Temple and Water Temple were my favorites.

This compy lacks sound ATM, so it's the one I remember being in the Kokiri Village shop. Crap, now I've got it stuck in my head. *facepalm* Well, at least it's a piece I actually like!
To be back on topic, I'm trying to think of a really bad game that I've played which had good music. I never played Unlimited Saga, I didn't like the crapshoot skill idea. Mystic Quest... no... too repetitive to matter. No, no, no, no...

Well, I think that music from a game we really like tends to stick out to us more than music from a game we don't like, no matter what the music quality.
I mean, I adore Tales of Symphonia and it doesn't have the greatest music ever, even though I did pay money through the nose to have the OST imported. I enjoyed the game so much I wanted to relive the game through the music because I like a whole hell of a lot of it, though some themes (aka Regal's theme, for one) were grating on the nerves and didn't show the composer's true talent.
Blanket statements like that may not be the best things to say.

WW's music was beautiful. It's the only Zelda OST my brother and I bothered buying.

Now that I think about it, Kingdom Hearts had some great music too (No they weren't all Disney music)
