This is a bit of a bump, but I just finished it so I feel safe reentering this topic, but I wanted to throw a little bit of WHAT THE FUCK to RedMask.
Like, in a game about exploration where half (maybe more, like 90% of) the reward is finding cool shit on your own and seeing what can be unlocked as you progress you post screenshots without spoiler tags of your inventory at the end of the game.
In a game so light on story, all people have to unlock neato stuff and find cool equipment on their own, so posting GIANT IMAGES of absolute end-game (not late game) stuff is pretty lame, dude.
I saw some of this shit before getting it (namely the armour in the first screenshot) and it absolutely ruined the feeling of finding it for myself and seeing it for the first time. I also hadn't found the Lynel Bow yet, but I navigated away from the page before scrolling down, luckily. What were you thinking? Spoiler tags exist for a reason.

Just hid those images because it is a new game and as this is a forum that focuses on games (playing and making) it's quite rude not to hide spoilery stuff.
It turned me off from buying or playing the game.
Just kidding!

Brilliant game - feels a bit lacking on closure and I really felt it needed some superbosses or other tougher enemies; maybe the forthcoming DLC will help with these points.
OK, time for my 2cents :)
The original LOZ was the game that got me hooked on video games in my 30's, yes I'm that old.
BoTW is the best of Zelda games. The open world is great but I do find myself wondering around looking at new things when I have a mission. Then I have to go back and take up that mission again :)
For those of you who don't like the breaking weapons, if you find RUSTY weapons, you can throw them at the things that pop out of the ground and spit dirt balls at you. Throw the rusty weapons at the dirt baller when IT IS INHALING. It will throw back a new weapon that has been renewed.
I did purchase the guide book from AMAZON and I believe many of you HAVE MISSED a lot of things in the game. I know all of you are the greatest game players of all time, but there are so many little things in the game that it is easy to miss them.
Personally, and I know it's just me, but I don't see how anyone can say this is not the best LOZ so far.
Maybe it's not bloody enough?? :)
Have fun playing Breath of the Wild, I'll see you all in Hylia if those damn Moblins will stop killing me :(
OH, there is one thing that upset me in the game: When THE BLOOD rises and the screen refreshes WITH A MONSTER STANDING BEHIND ME WHO STABS ME IN THE BACK AND KILLS POOR LINK. Guess that is their way of getting even for the number of them I've killed :)

So I found a cute doggie and it rolled over like it wanted a belly rub BUT I COULDN'T PET IT
They programmed a doggie to beg for pettings, but then DIDN'T PROGRAM THE OPTION TO ACTUALLY GIVE IT THE PETTINGS
LITERALLY THE WORST GAME EVER

Found a rather obscure link on the enemy scaling mechanics if anyone is curious. It's rather intensive and quite useful (It's too bad I already have unlocked because this would have saved me some time). It's not that new anymore, but hid what I unlocked just in case.

Might still come in handy if I ever decide to do some sort of challenge run. Pretty obscure info too as I don't think it is posted anywhere else. I wouldn't have found it myself if I hadn't come across it.

Well, turkeyDawg, maybe you simply did not feel like checking the internet for a walkthrough. There are dogs at several locations in the game. The ONLY dogs that help you are those that you stand or sit next to and colored bubbles appear. If they appear 3 times, the dog will then take you to a local treasure. Otherwise, yes, they roll on their back or chase their tales :) Sad you are not taking the time to get information on the game.
There is so much all of you are missing of this great game.
I'm not sure but this seems to be the most in depth walkthrough so far:

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

I don't want to use guides my first time through a game.
also, what kentona and LockeZ said

Guess I'm not as bright as kentona :) Boy, kentona is probably smiling at my admission :) crap, guess I better also include LockZ before he feels slighted.
It's just that I really am enjoying this game and hate for anyone to finish it without finding everything.
Also, I be an old person and have trouble without a guide :)
