People who think they're funny and cute, when in fact they're just obnoxious.

Aww, I have converted people like you into fans of the games! I can convert anyone, my friend! It's my job as a rabid fangirl, you see.

I have no idea what the fuck you are talking about. I have not played any pokemon game since 10 years ago in middle school, I didn't like it then, and I won't ever do it again, so you certainly have not converted ME and you never will. My hatred of pokemanz is deeply entrenched and grounded and I am basically impossible to sway about even the most minor things, so sorry, but no.

Nothing personal.

Unrelatedly:

I don't want to mini-mod or anything, since I'm sure that is the pet peeve of several staff members, but I must remark that I am surprised this topic hasn't been locked yet considering the amount of thinly veiled animosity running its course throughout.
Yeah how about we get back on topic and such.

I know for a fact that I'm obnoxious. I don't even have to try, it comes naturally. You may laugh at that or snarl, I don't give two hoots.

@Max: *sigh* So militant. That's fine, I guess, the world takes all kinds. Though I will point out that it's a highly addictive, very customizable (if you put in the effort!), sandbox-y style of handling things have kept me in the groove since it crossed stateside. Yes, Monster Rancher and Dragon Quest Monsters are much better series as a whole - but hardly any of their games have nearly 500 critters AND have managed to stay mainstream so long. I will admit that the card game and the anime are very boring.

ANYWAY:

Back on topic, however, things that annoy the shit out of me include those people that think they know everything about a topic they've never actually encountered in their real life experience. IE: Yeah, a woman with a kid can give me pointers here and there as long as they understand my methodology and we have a mutual agreement of lines not to cross - but people that want to tell me how to raise my child that have never had children, nor do they even seem to like them. Trust me.

I find this happens a LOT with people on the Internet and discussing relationships/sex/the opposite sex.

It's almost comical sometimes.

People hate admitting that they're lonely? Why do people do this? Not only that, but why would someone want to talk about that kind of thing with a random stranger? *confused look*

There are some types of relationships I've never had because before I met Asa, I only had one serious long term relationship (I didn't start dating until I was 18, my love was video games through puberty!). I can't pretend to know the kind of things to say that I really have no idea what I'm talking about.

Abe Lincoln said it best: "it is better to be thought stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." Which is why I should shut the fuck up much more often. xD
Hey, I have a pet peeve; people who like to pretend that all races/cultures are exactly the same when they aren't (NOT better or worse, but different!) and would get offended at the suggestion otherwise.
When young teenagers hang around in gangs.
That the pet peeve topic is more popular than the topic about a member of our community who might possibly die today.

Have you ever read a book called "The Neoconservative Reader" ? It has a whole chapter dedicated to the breaking down of orderly neighborhoods, with loitering gangs of teenagers being one of the signs/symptoms.
