MEGA MAKER - SHARE YOUR LEVELS!
Posts
Titanic Tower: 45345
My first level. Has lots of climbing and teleporter use.
Here There be Metalls: 46056
The gimmick is that all the enemies are mets.
May The Force Field Be With You: 55150
Use the reflector sheild to deflect projectiles! You can also hover by constantly spamming the button with it.
Isrieri and UPRC your levels rock my world, by the way (except for the "High Ground" level you made, Isrieri. It was waaaaaaay too difficult)

When I wasn't working on Ruphand, I was working on this.
NO TWO WAYS ABOUT IT - ID 51098
A map with quite a few secrets and way too many of those eye bumper things. Boss is Knight Man, weak to Crash Bombs.
HEAVY METAL SPACE BASE - ID 54495
Go way up into space and run through a space base. It's not easy and the boss is a real piece of work. Boss is Metal Man, immune to Mega Buster (but there IS a way to get past him!)
EDIT:
I just made one where you don't have a weapon and have to dodge dudes.
BOARDWALK IN THE SKY - ID 59983
Dodge dudes with the M. Beam and get to the end of the boardwalk. No bottomless pits, and three different goals!

I use bandicam, bryan. It's a little expensive but you could always crack it- I mean what
That looks good, Ratty.
I started working on a non-linear 5x5 screens level, but my knowledge of megamam is so poor that I made some two screens so far. Powers are a pain as I wanna use them, but don't know their exploits.
Edit: I finished the level and can't find a way to upload it (wine problems).

All this makes me want to do is make my own custom platformer T.T I just don't know which program is best to use for someone as script avoidy as I am.

Well, he had the high ground!
Your levels are all awesome too Ratty. I played that batch you posted a while ago, but tonight I saw you on the Top Rated list with your bombs level! Where the hell are you getting that kind of exposure?! I'm jealous. I think it might be my favorite level of yours.
I still need to play Icicle Crash, Platforming Purity, and Brave the Citadel. I've got to work harder to catch up to you, now! I've got my own Metool level that's been in the works.
I have some levels too, I'll post them after playing the ones displayed here. I'll try to comment about each one.
I had a go at another level called Metal Mines inspired by the original Mega Man games. This one's a bit harder than my others and I expect even Mega Man vets to take several hits, and keep in mind that the dash-jump is pretty important here since it's required for a few jumps. It's a medium/long level with several secrets (four, I think?) and ends with a fight against Metal Man that's actually tough since I gave him a not so obvious weakness that can be tricky to hit him with given the layout of the boss room.
Level code is 100508.

The game's Nado power is really cool and completely changes the mobility of the game, so I built a level around it. The boss? Toad Man! He may be the most easy boss in the series if you have your Mega Buster, but if you're locked into a low range tornado power, he becomes a lot tougher!
The level is called "To the source of the stream", id 30570.
I've just played your level, though I didn't reach the end of it (I just got tired of dying).
The problem is your level is very demanding with all those One Hit Kill spikes, but I found it strangely compelling. I will certainly return to give it more tries. I'm not certain I enjoyed feeling like a machine calculating precisely its next moves, but I won't say it was bad experience, for it was not.
I'll say more when/if I finish it.

So the engine runs... not completely unplayable for me. It helps that Mega Man isn't really a game about speed. Though, some areas ran better than others. I'm guessing it depends on either the background type or the size of an unsegmented area.
author=Link_2112Not sure if it's been mentioned already, but it seems the latest version (1.0.4) fixes the lag.
This is my first time running it. Does it lag for anyone else? Some levels are worse than others. Yours was very jerky, the game was stuttering. I don't have a shitty computer.
So, I might actually do something with this now. Maybe. But... probably not.

author=Illytbh this is how I usually end up feeling every time I try one of these "maker" kind of programs. There always ends up being some glaring hole in the available options that makes one idea or the other not really possible to properly execute.
All this makes me want to do is make my own custom platformer T.T
My first reaction to this maker is that it'd be really nice if there was an "enemy spawner" object. As it is, the little blue cylinder guys are the only ones with a continuously-respawning option, other than MM's usual scroll-based respawns, of course.
