The image doesn't seem to appear for me, so I just read the page on the original page.
Ah, geez...I did a thing that broke a thing. Apparently when you update an image, it gets a brand new image ID instead of keeping its existing one. All the pages that stopped showing were recently tweaked. I fixed the links now, though!

Ropes are great. They remind me of old comics. I'm sure they're ancient sentient ropes of Montezuma. They became sentient after blood of countless human sacrifices soaked them.

That's a pretty interesting way of explaining how those ropes work. It almost sounds believable!
Seeing all of this, you kind of have to admire these two for still being alive. That ruins area is just one big death trap of death.
Also, I finally bought the new Spelunky version myself, and... let's just say, I haven't been doing nearly as well as these two.

I've been meaning to play the HD version; I just never got around to it. Too many other games to play, too little time to play them. I spoiled myself on all its secrets anyway though because I'm pathetic.

Nope, this comic is based exclusively on classic Spelunky. I had no excuse for scouting HD except my own desire to look ahead. But it's whatever I don't get too invested in spoilers.
