Apart from the fact that even a skilled Spelunky player would likely not have survived so many instances of its attack, that's a pretty accurate depiction of those crusher traps, I'd say. Those things are just pure evil.
Can I buy some of that plot armour at the black market? Then maybe I could finally beat Spelunky after almost 150 deaths so far...
Only 150 deaths? Some folks can't do it until over 1000! You gotta get more untimely demises under your belt. Just make sure you aren't dying the same way every time, and you'll pull through. ;3

Since when does Spelunky have other characters besides the hero, the damsel, and the shopkeeper?
The HD version introduced a ton of playable characters you can unlock. Seems Derek picked one of the female options and ran with it. Damsel not being the one chosen, she has no part of Spelunky Guy's canon future.
That doesn't affect my plans as much as it might seem like it would, but I do wonder if I could've altered this outcome by finishing this comic sooner. I mean, Derek is an appreciator of the medium, after all.
