HIDEOUS TEXT FIX FOR RM 2003

Pages: 1
I've noticed a few games made with RM 2003 have a hideous and barely legible text when I
play them. Now, I remember a few days ago someone said something I missed on IRC about
there being a way to correct this problem so that I can read what has been written in a game.

Can someone help me with this? If it isn't relevant or there is a place I should be looking elsewhere for this answer, please let me know!

Thank you in advance.

You just have to install the fonts by placing them in your "fonts" folder (C:\windows\fonts)

They are 8.66mb each ... you want me to rar and send to you via mediafire? (If you don't mind the quite large fileseize)
That only adds fonts to Windows... it doesn't change the fonts for games people already made in RPG Maker 2003 for me.

Oh well it worked for me :| ... I'll go check around and see if i can find how to fix this (I forgot)
Apparently you have to make a new project, with the fonts installed on your system ... and then replace the RPG_RT.EXE files in the old projects folder with the new one to fix the fonts.

So If you do have RPG Maker 2003 on your computer, just make a new project and replace those project's RPG_RT.EXE files you downloaded with the new project's RPG_RT.EXE

Paste these fonts into your C:Windows/Fonts folders. (Or you can find a copy of the font patch but it does the exact same thing.)

I never had to do this.
Thank you both for the help you've provided! I'm off to see how this works, then.

Me neither ... installing the fonts should have worked fine
Before you try replacing the rpg_rt.exe (which you probably should not have to do), keep in mind that the game might have been created with a different/edited rpg_rt.exe and may cause something to screw up. Of course if for some reason the installing the fonts doesn't work for certain games, that probably why.
Yeah, games made with power mode or an edited .exe will totally mess up. (Some of my games are/will using/e this.)
