CloseSince we are not using MV anymore we have dropped the MV from the name. I'd like to have the game easily recognized by name from the original but obviously Legion Saga R(emake) was already used. There is also a failed Legion Saga Ace on this site too.
I was originally going with Legion Saga Advent Prophecy but the name got a complaint which got me in my head about it! So I shall implore the greater RMN community for suggestions.

I voted HD. Since it's a remake and not an independent title, I think that would make it most clear.

While I liked the idea of The Midland Wars... since it is named such in the books in the later games... I liked the idea of just using the DX to shorten the name, allow it to be distinguishable from the original title, and well... Legion Saga DX looks good too.

…While backing up the rm2k/2k3 Legion Saga games and not being familiar with the series, outside of the numerical entries (like, Legion Saga 1, Legion Saga 2 and Legion Saga 3) it was kind of frustrating to distinguish what Legion Saga R was, what Legion Saga Z was and what Legion Saga Remake was.
For Lunar and its sequential remakes, they remade the 1st game 3.5 times:
Lunar the Silver Star (SEGA CD) (Original Game) (1993)
Lunar the Silver Star Story: Complete (PSX/Saturn/PC) (1998 Remake)(rewrote story changes, added full motion video)
Lunar Legend (GBA) (2002 Remake) (more story changes due to space limitations, with clips of FMV from 1998 remake)
Lunar Silver Star Harmony (2010) (Partial Remake, Partial Port of GBA remake with 1998 FMV and new story cutscenes that fill in certain plot elements)
Lunar Silver Star Story Touch (iOS port of 1998 game)
...Having said that, I strongly suggest you keep it to something simple while indicating that it’s still the first entry within the series.
Like when Dragon Quest IV was first released in the states, they couldn’t get the rights to the name “Dragon Quest” since the first game, because the name “Dragon Quest” was held by a board game with a similar name, so they called it “Dragon Warrior IV” but regardless, they were originally going to just call it:
Dragon Quest IV.
But when it came to do the remake in 2007, they now had the rights to the name “Dragon Quest”, so they called it:
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen.
So yeah, old game: Legion Saga 1
Remake of old game: Legion Saga 1: The Midland Wars
+2 for Tau’s and Sidewinder’s suggestion.

EDIT: If you're just going to do the one remake, call it " Legion Saga DX " - Cause, Tetris DX, Super Mario Bros. DX it's immediately identifiable to long time fans and those unfamiliar to the series.
If you plan on eventually remaking the other entries in Legion Saga, call it " Legion Saga 1: The MidlandWars "
