ITCH.IO SCANDAL :: CHECK YOUR NAMES AND GAMES!

Judging by Liberty's personality - she can't stand the success of others, yet still wants to be popular -, I think she is most likely the culprit of the malware-infected itch.io uploads. First she tarnishes the reputation of popular games she isn't able to develop, then she "discovers" these malware-infected uploads to be praised as the savior - a behavior pattern typical of narcissitic arsonists. It's still only a working theory, though, but one I'm confident in since I'll probably get banned for simply stating my reasonable suspicion.
What???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
it's still just a working theory, guys, don't worry!
:eyeroll:
also, I didn't discover them - someone pointed them out to me as something to worry about and I checked that shit over. it's my job to check stuff out if it's an issue with the community and then let peeps know about it. if I wanted to laud fame or whatever, I have a lot of things I could call on for it, least of all being the admin of this site (along with kentona). but i usually don't mention that kind of thing unless it pertains to a conversation being had because who rightly gives a shit? if I wanted to be a saviour or some shit I'd take over Befuddlement Quest 7 and finish it. but nope, too lazy/tired/busy/etc to bother doing that (also kentona might banne meh)
for serious, though, you need some chill dude. IDEK what your issue is.

Pretty sure it's Helazz. Guy tries to unban himself from IP bans no less (especially with his proxies).
Plus I may have the suspicion that someone's undermining the whole site so that the attention can be pointed towards itch.io or so. But hey, just a thought.
Who has the time to upload 10+ games filled with 400MB-sized virus-packed files?

Wait...You mean it has at least a 50% chance of being serious and not just a funny troll post?
Damn, Poe's Law in effect, right?

Possibly. Revenge is a dish best served cold. And you can't just deny any possibility especially when revenge can take out some rationality in you (like uploading 20-50 games filled with viruses as well as making accounts that would reflect the game's creator).
I do want to affirm that it could be bots, but itch.io should have a counter-measure for it.
I don't think it was bots. I noticed there was some custom text for the short description, which seemed to indicate a human understanding of the game's content.
They seemed to just copy/paste the description of game pages and personal profiles alike. It's pretty bot-like behaviour. But even if it weren't, it doesn't make much of a difference.
They copied the text on the game page body to the main body of the fake pages, but I noticed there was also some different custom text on maybe the short preview description, or on a tagline thing above the screenshots. At least that's what I remembered on my games. I forgot what exactly was written, but it just made me think that whoever did it was familiar with some of the games, and therefore likely a former member.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

One of mine included stuff quoted from my game profile like "Visit the "Connecting" section for information about logging on." Despite the lack of any such section on the itch.io page. Also I looked at about 20-30 of the hacked pages, and all the genre tags were completely randomized to the point of being utter nonsense. Definitely bots. A human did not tag Iniquity & Vindication as "MMORPG, visual novel, wild west, cyberpunk, anime, shooter"
Your games on RMN do in fact each have a one sentence tagline. In the case of my games, the itch.io virus pages used that text for the short preview description.
