Anyone having problems uploading files onto mediafire, recently?
Very slow and erractic upload speeds, and keeps failing.
Recommendations on other sites I can upload?

I also really like MEGA because it does this thing where it downloads to the browser and then in one quick chunk? It's hard to explain but I really like that. Plus you get a bunch of space freee like Dropbox or GDrive.
RMN Locker is also great for RMN stuff but depending on makerscore it's tiny or big.

I've had it tell me that my uploads fail when it's verifying it after uploading, but then I check and find that it did upload successfully so I just ignore it. Not sure what the error is about, but it happens whenever I upload anything.
Mediafire, if you read the fine print, periodically deletes inactive files.
OneDrive and Google Drive do no such thing.
Plus they appear to be faster, esp Google Drive.

Hmm, this might seem to go to a whole different thing, but I use this program to make a website easily called weebly. It costs to use, yes, but I noticed that for free version with weebly logo on your website you can actually upload without limits to your custom website and speed is pretty ok.
Not sure is there a secret cap for free websites though, but one which I pay you get unlimited
So not sure would I recommend it.
Dropbox or google drive are good ones
Never used RMN Locker, how much space that has?

This article states that a user's locker may contain about 40 KB of files per MS. This should mean that, with an MS of 14943, my locker can have up to 597720 KB (or 583 MB) of files. However, I note that it's reporting 1.3 GB to me instead. Which is more like somewhere around 91 or 92 KB per MS? It's possible that the rate, itself, goes up as MS goes up. It might be possible that the rate increased after I got on staff. However, I wish to specify that these are merely theories, and have no basis on any known facts.
Ether way, you may find how much space your locker may contain when attempting to upload a file into your locker.
author=bulmabriefs144My backups from august 2017 are still there and I hadn't opened mediafire in a year.

Woooah I have two mediafire accounts and I hadn't noticed.
In my second one I have files from 2015.
I call bullshit on the "deleting inactive files" thing.
EDIT: Whoops double post. Sorry.

It is known to happen, often enough that people on Yahoo Answers and others have asked about it.

Does it happen to everyone? Probably not. But it seems to happen if you're extremely inactive, or if you majorly abuse the system (one of the big things to be removed are ppl having actual videos uploaded).
Anyway, I saw them mention it on their website, and after that point, I took it down. Oh and, sometimes I've gone to download something on RpgMaker and it seems like I can't download. It happens. Even if you lucked out.
I've never had problems with Google Drive.
...I just want to chime in on this.
Yesterday, I had a few more recent files on mediafire, disappear and then reappear on mediafire.
I spent the entire day trying to reupload said file, only to have it reappear, on mediafire at the end of the day - so I now have two copies of the same file on mediafire.
It's kind of kooky, but just to confirm, stuff like this does happen, so everyone, make sure to backup your stuff at least 3 times when using mediafire.

Dropbox is really the best file-sharing site on the market atm, far as I'm concerned. Never had any problems with it, and you can have a BUNCH of shit (I'm talking like, 1-3 TBs worth of stuff) on your account, especially if you just pay around 8 or so bucks a month. Mediafire's solid for smaller uploads, though for big files, Dropbox is the way to go imo.
MEGA's very good too, though. Haven't used it much but haven't had any real issues with that either.

Google Drive
Microsoft One Drive
Dropbox
RMN Locker
this last suggestion is admittedly much more practical if you have OVER TWELVE THOUSAND makerscore like kory does. (guess Kloe already said this but with less caps lock)
