Seriously?
I have been saying since September than Square Enix would try for a Dragon Quest V release in February, and it looks like they are.

Get Dragon Quest IX in September 2009 and Dragon Quest VI in December 2009, and it looks like that's that for anticipated releases from the S-E camp in 2009.

(Edited to reflect that Dragon Quest VI isn't even ready yet)
Here's hoping that Tri-Ace can fix the biggest problems of SO3 for SO4. And maybe this time it won't involve getting stranded on a medieval-era planet! :|
Dragon Quest 5 is going to be the greatest release.

That would be cool.

Agreed!
I always felt like Dragon Quest fans got shafted in comparison to the Final Fantasy fans, but it's nice to see some games getting a revamp. <3

Now, I want the next Rocket slime game! Sorry, I can't help it! The CUTENESS!
I've had V for a while (in Japanese) and it's great. Basically the same as IV, but it's a far superior game (and actually, my favourite RPG of all time).

Lucky bastard.

How would it be for someone who's never even given the DQ series half a thought? I'm starting to get interested.

I haven't been a fan of Star Ocean since, well, I played Star Ocean 2.

It's another one of Iish's jokes that only he is privy to.
In case you don't know much about Dragon Quest V, Tim Rodgers sums it up:

is the main character of Star Ocean 4 really named "Edge Maverick"?

that's even worse than "Fate Leingod".

...I'd still like to play it but I lack a 360.

*Crosses arms* That's Fayt Leingod! Honestly though I wasn't a great fan of SO3 but that didn't stop me from completing it, and overall I did enjoy it for the most part. A couple of things I wished were a hell of a lot better (voice acting, lack of thought provoking puzzles), so if they can sort it out in SO4, then...*drools*.

Fate Leingod is the original name. It was changed to "Fayt" for the English version, which in my opinion makes it even worse. Kind of like those awful metal bands that think it's awesome to misspell words in stupid ways (Trapt, Staind, etc...)

I did like Star Ocean 3, despite the silly story... mostly because the battle system was so much fun.

Well yes I'd figured that. :P
