GAME PRODUCTION COMPANIES

(First off let me say, this could be the wrong forum, if it is, feel free to move.)

So as I browse the forums looking for things to post about, I've notice some members are production companies, So I was wondering if other members have a production team, or if they have a group represent their games?

As for I, I am the fonder of Mountain Co. A freelancing company, from that two of my employees help me from time to time on game design, such as map design or beta testing. Thus some of my games could be represented by Mountain Co. even though only a small percent of us work on game design. (Lets see, three people, that makes about 5% of the company.)
Team-Magma and I are working together.
I coerced him into making an acount.
Are Team is Team-Magma or Magma Productions
Some people on here who have "production" or "company" in their name aren't actually in a team at all. I'm actually guilty of this, since U.K.E. Productions is the production team that me and my mates (about 12 of us in all) are doing, since one of us is getting a hi-tech video camera for christmas, we decided to create a Youtube account called UKE Productions (for info on origins on "UKE" read my Intro topic ;) )
and after I left this site for about 2 months, I had forgotten my password, so I just created a new account, and thought it would be nice if I called it U.K.E Produtions. I'm the only one who works on my game, but the others do stuff like the Mypsace page (which we're starting after we've made a couple of video's) and Youtube stuff (it's probally impossible to make the video's without the actual video recorder) and U.K.E. Productions is our name.
Any one else for a rant?
I work for myself XD
I get absolutely no help from anyone
I used to have my own team, back in the day. Guys who'd help me out with graphics, sounds, etc.

Let's see, it used to be me, Old K, Aikado, Jyde (now known as Burak) and Kyle Katarn. Think we called ourselves Majin Games.
I suppose this can go in Game Design, since team/solo is a design consideration...I guess.

(Game Discussion is more about talking about games, than how theyy are made)
Well, WombatRPGs obviously... It's not like I haven't released a game NOT made with the team. Basically it formed from a bunch of amateur game designers who didn't feel like working on what they weren't good at. I think it turned out well.

Yeah uh if any of you guys can pay me (I'm only asking for entry level salary, like $30,000 a year plus bennies, Health Insurance would be a major plus), I will gladly join your companies and crank out games for you like a monkey on crack with an IQ of 380. As to my resume, I have five games up on the site, so take your pick!

Seriously,
-Max

P.S. If you don't have money to employ people, no offense but DO NOT CALL YOURSELF A COMPANY OR THROW PRODUCTIONS ON THE END OF YOUR NAME.
Well, at least Max isn't asking for Shigeru Miyamoto's salary. Are you willing to work for airline tickets to Europe, food and lodging? ;D That's my final offer, Max!

Throw in minimum hourly wage (jeez do they even HAVE that in Germany? I think it's like $5.75 USD in America) and you're on. :P

I always of thought Me, Sam, and Asa were some sort of a team but production or company I'm just not sure.

I always did think me and Ashamaru were going to become a dou-project team since we both would help each other out on each others games.

Actually, I should ask and see what the minimum wage is here. I don't know off the top of my head. With living costs the way they are, I'd imagine you need at least 6 to 7 Euros an hour to stay afloat. (and that's with being really frugal)

Nick: We're a group of wankers who talk about games every so often. Remember? I guess you could call it a team, too...

Nick: We're a group of wankers who talk about games every so often.

That can be your slogan.
I prefer to work on my own. Others just get in the way. And they talk, talk, talk.
Really, I'll probably get some people to make me some music/graphics/etc and give credit where credit is due in my later projects, but I wouldn't try organizing an actual group or anything.

So if I call myself Harmonic Productions can I write off my new computer as a business expense?
Usually I dismiss names like 'GAMECRAZED PRODUCTIONS' as bullshit since nobody here (or almost anywhere else) has an actual game production company. There's no shame in being a lone game designer (as ALL of us are) and throwing Company or Productions at the end of your name looks tacky and makes you look retarded.

...Like me. Even though I have full intention of taking Chaos Productions all the way.

I know it'll NEVER happen, but hey, a guy can dream...
I also want to be an astronaut.
My brother, sister and I once called ourselves "Stardust Entertainment" and we did all sorts of things, like trying to publish our own magazine "Starlight!" (copied at a Kinko's!) with articles about gaming and our own RPGM games that we wrote ourselves... but it was silly and died out after a single issue. XD

The only people I team up with well are my siblings... from my experience. I am not the best ever, it's just my mindset is more offbeat than I care to explain.
