message when trying to log out Topic

whenever i try to log out, it just says this message:
Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again.

What the crap does that mean?

I used to get that message all the time. What i do when i am ready to log out is just return to the "Forums" page and click log out from there. The message doesn't appear anymore and i'm not getting pissed off every time i log out.
