Okay, yeah, I admit that doesn't check out. If the "hacker" is confirmed by mod then "white hat hacker" seems suspect. But it goes against the known abilities of the players in the game thus far.
Fomar. CLAIMED White Hat Hacker. Said he was a role cop.
I called that shit out at the end of last day and all this day ffs because that's my role and it'd be too much for Odd to have two mason-types and two role-cop types in the same game.
Gourd. IS Hacker. Said he has Role Block. I have confirmed that the title of his role is hacker.
Fomar has said he was blocked.
Hey, maybe they're working together and LIED about fomar being blocked and Gourd's power - his power that doesn't make sense thematically with his role name despite all other CONFIRMED roles actually making sense with the names of their roles.

I have been claiming this forever. It's pretty much a given as the first thing I told Gourd in that chat was that I knew he was a Hacker. It's why I know he's a Hacker. Not a Black Hat Hacker. Not a White Hat Hacker. Straight. Up. Plain. Old. H. A. C. K. E. R.
Three possible mafia, two possible indies, 8 possible townies. That might be too much of a reach.

Like I could see Fomar claiming to be RB'd but if that's the scumteam not attempting to NK or RB hex is just... asking to lose

The more I think about it, having two alignment revealing abilities makes far more sense if the godfather exists. The chance of them getting a false positive is just so much higher.
maybe we could test my role blocking powers on somebody? I 100% have the power to roleblock/block nightkill and the idea that I don't is just speculation at this point.

- told me he was going to block either fomar or hex after we talked. he thought fomar was town and was pressing on hex being scummy af
- left for a while during our chat might be nothing, might be talking to scum buddy to come up with dastardly plan of evil tm
- fomar claimed to be role cop. actual role cop claimed at end of day and in play. oh noes how to fake a role cop????
- get buddy old pal scum buddy gourd to tell said role cop that he might block hex or fomar! oh genious now fomar can keep pretend to be role cop without backing claim up with actual information! joy of joys someone can back gourdy up when he claims he blocked fomar! what a lucky break!!!

And Gourd stated to you that he was considering Hex as well. So why not RB the actual, dangerous alignment cop vs pulling this stunt?

Also, I think Fomar is a rolecop, whatever his alignment is. He was around for the game where I was rolecop and got immediately and brutally murdered.
If the claims are taken at their word (Fomar=RC and gourd=RB) then this vaguely makes sense, and they murder Ozzy to try and get us to suspect Hex, forgetting that Frogge can confirm Hex.

Maybe he isn't actually a role blocker at all. Maybe he blocked someone who was a vanilla town with no night actions. Maybe he wanted to be able to claim he blocked fomar to save his scumbuddy from having to prove his fake role claim.

If Gourd and I are on the same team then why we would he actually role block me? Hextona would be his target, maybe the bit of my role that reveals history might be more dangerous. Maybe - this might be a stretch - he was worried my role with the history aspect could reveal he's the godfather while a straight up detective couldn't?

Also my chemical makeup makes it impossible for me to become angry at mafia (unless, specifically, ozzy tricks piano into killing me, in which case I will be perpetually angry at both of them) -- I actually think liberty and I are on the same page but both trying to figure out how the nonsensical claims stack up.

I can't see Gourd's role name getting outed but Gourd supplying incorrect abilities for that role. It's too out-there a play.
