So 2010-2019, what were the most memorable or long lasting video games for you personally? Either just straight up good or something that felt new and defining. Without thinking too much about it, just grab anything that pops in your mind. OR google: "games in 2010s" (or go year by year for a detailed list) if you can't remember anything. This random person's list might help with your memory as well. This is basically the later half of the ps3/360/wii era and the ps4/one era onwards for reference.
For me off the top of my head (Top 10):
Dark Souls
Inside
Kero Blaster
Rain World
Journey
Super Mario Maker
Into the Breach
Gravity Rush
Nier: Gestalt
Horizon Zero Dawn
I'd like to do an rpgmaker version of this topic, but don't wanna distract too much from the misaos until Januaryish.

Eh........ memorable, huh. I encountered some memorable anime (oh jove, yes).
Huh. There's some neat ones like Phantom Detective BUUT.. really?
Dark Souls is neat, sure. Divinity Original Sins II only became epic thanks to playing it with my beloved and making it an epic saga of worship. I haven't been able to play P5 yet cause consoles.
Memorable?
Actually I have one game: Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate. I loved Tri and Tri U is great. I love it. I love the town bells n gongs n chimes. The chill games and bro times in quiet solitude and companionship. (thinking of it, I even got it during the strangest times for the strangest reason and it's been able to stand up on its own against all that. so. there we go.)
.. I miss it. Maybe some peeps are still playing online. World kinda decimated the population.
There. I hope I can get Virgo vs. the Zodiac up there soon...

So uhm, this list is from a couple of years ago so it doesn't have the last couple of years in it...
So I'll add those years to my list later... maybe.
1. Crusader Kings 2 (2012)
2. Valiant Hearts (2014)
3. Rocket League (2015)
4. Frozen Synapse (2011)
5. Invisible Inc. (2015)
6. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege (2015)
7. Firewatch (2016)
8. Waking Mars (2012)
9. Tales from the Borderlands (2014)
10. Stardew Valley (2016)
I think this list was made in 2016. Meaning it's missing some pretty good games that I've played since then... (Into the Breach)

...I don't normally do these top ten lists, but then Darken's list made me realized I haven't played a whole lot of games this past decade.
Off the top of my head:
-Tomb Raider and The Guardian of Light/HardCorps: Uprising
-Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.
-Castlevania: Harmony of Despair.
-Portal 2
-Resident Evil 6/Revelations/Operation Racoon City
-Metal Gear Solid:Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain.
-Super Mario Maker.
-Stanely Parable
-South Park Stick of Truth/Fractured But Whole
-Sonic Mania
I want to squeeze in Back to the Future, by TellaTale. Huh. A lot of great online co-op experiences. A lot of great games based on intellectual properties. Something that wasn't really possible a few years before. But yeah, I thought it was really cool to see Super Mario Maker and especially Sonic Mania get a new lease on life. I also liked how the later MGS installments really tackled a lot of the issues that made it kind of difficult for me to get into the series. I didn't like Stanely Parable, but I liked how it was one of the few games that actually tried to play with narrative - I would've included Demon Souls too, but that was 2009.
Very cool thread here.
EDIT: I haven't beaten Monster Hunter Tri yet. I didn't get too far in it. But I wanna see the last boss before the servers shutdown.

Do rom hacks count? I love Link to the Past Randomizer and would rank it. Celeste and Undertale were good games with fun characters, and FF14 is pretty solid after escaping ARR hell and it has some of the best music in video games.
Part of my problem is 10 years was so long ago and idr what standout games I've played after 3 years or so. And then some I think fit but end up being a 2009 or so release (Punch Out Wii).

Hells yeah. Any mod or extension of a thing is fine. Even something like a map released long after a game's release. I kind of see Randomizers as an interesting trend that seemed to spawn from the Roguelike craze that was also pretty early 2010s. So that says something.
I would have picked Demon's Souls over Dark Souls. But I played DaS1 first and DeS is sadly 2009. It's a weird juxtaposition where the cut off point of 2010 means ignoring the key influence (ie if you prefer Borderlands 1 over 2 but 1 was made in 2009). Dark Souls still counts as my entry to the series anyway.
I'd go with Demon Souls too out of the series if it was eligible. First one of the lot I played and I enjoyed the setting and atmosphere more than the Dark Souls series. Although DeS doesn't have a similar place as DS1's Ash Lake to be fair, DeS' final area just being 1-5 (or the real final area being so empty) was a disappointment instead of being the broken stone of the unfinished 6th world or so.
I never actually finished Dark Souls, I played it first when it was on Games for Windows Live and that's where I beat Lost Izalith and the Crystal Caves. I lost my save during the Steam transition and I never wanted to go to those two places ever again so I settled with Four Kings being my last boss.
