NEW BLOOD?

There's really that many?!
I just have a question. Sure rpgmaker vX scripts are helpful and all and can be found at a lot of RM communities but where are you guys going to get them? Usually, you need Scripters permission to post their script to various sites first and etc.

Logically, we would just allow them to be submitted. We would not actively run around trying to get people to submit them or have people take them.

I'm being realistic.
I'd like to see what the p0werzz of RMN is.
@Karsuman, what I mean is...
for example.
Blizzard made Blizz ABS, he only allows this script to be distributed at XXXXX site and XXXXXXX site.

I know. We would not take it without his permission, of course.
hm maybe if the game making contests didn't work we could try individual aspects of game making (ie- art, music, maps, etc). prizes could be as simple as a special honourary sig or something.... game contests take a lot of commitment..
-ReiI agree with this. Being relatively new, I would like to add that hearing about Release Something Day was a major factor to why I joined this site. I loved the fact you could submit anything, even if it was unfinished, just for releasing something. It gave off the impression that this is friendly, laid-back community, and yes, this is a community I would like being involved in.
I'm just saying, that something spiffy that people can join and be a part of, which is well organized and established, will catch the attention and can be brought more easily out to other sites and communities. Same time it would also be productive and creative.
... Unfortunately, the question of what to be involved in entered my mind shortly after, and I haven't posted much of anything since. Sorry about that! I don't think much about "gamedev theories," I just work on my game. I do not practice graphic art. I write, but have no need to post my works. The only services I would ever offer would be programming, and 95% (guessing) of the people here don't need it, and for the leftover 5%, I don't know RGSS... although I am learning Ruby now to help with Sphere's future editor. And I don't feel like writing someone else's story :P From this, my services do not seem needed. You guys seem to have your bases well-covered. So, my question, which may not reflect the majority, is: What can I DO? What unique thing can I, as an individual, offer? So far, this has just been my own game.
Release Something Day is brilliant and might be the only thing you need, but if you wish for more -- some incentives for new blood such as me to DO STUFF, calling out to their unique abilities, would be nice. Make it almost painfully obvious what they can do. Put it everywhere. DO STUFF = productivity = get more involved with community. This is why I like Anaryu's team event idea, back on page 2. The reward for that could be recognition (nominee for "BEST TEAM EVENT GAME 2009"), which is a fairly powerful motivator. Money is pretty good too :P
