For years I've
been searching around for the synths and software that was used
to make Yume Nikki's distinct sounding music and while searching around
some archives of Kikiyama's prior work "Thank you The Cutting Room Floor"
I found some of the exact synths used for Yume Nikki's music here's some examples I wanted to share.

RS7000
This one is pretty prevalent. You can really hear this snyth
at work in Aztech Monkey Rave.

RM1x
I feel like alot of the games sounds were made using this
as well as a couple of the music tracks primarily using it.
In this demo I can clearly hear the walking sounds.
Here's an example of a song that uses this synth.

QY70
You can clearly hear in this demo alone alot
of the same instruments used in the game.
A good example would be this one.

Most of the game's music uses a mixture of these 3 primarily
except for the Famicom tracks I still can't really figure
out what they use. It get's kind of tricky pin pointing the
exact synth used cause chiptune is so varied.

Now I want to play YN just so I can properly appreciate your hard work.

Though I 100% feel that obsession level. I spent like a whole week trying to recreate THIS SPECIAL EFFECT:

Yeah that obsession is what drives us game devs to make something amazing!
