A shitload of excellent 2k3 games have come out since 2010, just because you live under a rock, out of touch and in literal ignorance of the 2k3 scene doesn't mean there are no more cool games made in it, so yeah sorry but your take is shit lol. I'd understand if your grief over the apparent loss of your old favorites is making you emotionally incoherent but your assertion of "rpg maker 2003 community is dead" is just factually wrong. I don't know why you are relating both community, game existence and quality by comparing it to youtube views compared with other engines of all things, which already mean nothing in the niche hobby that is the entirety of rpgmaker, but whatever your train of thought is, it's just incorrect.

I mean calling the rm2k(3) community "dead" is not not true. It's not exactly the bustling hub of newbs it was in the 00s. People still make games in it but that's not really the same as having a living thriving community. Since most people who still do make games in rm2k(3) knows pretty much all the ins and outs of the program(s) and thus probably don't participate much in community stuff such as "look at my cool rm2k mmo tech demo" or "how do I make grid based tactics work in rm2k3?". Instead they are people who were tweens back when rm2k3 came out and spend half an hour a week tinkering on some old game files while the kids are asleep.
Basically it's amazing the rm2k(3) community is as alive as it is.

Let's try to be more constructive in this thread. Why don't you tell us what, in your view, those old games did to make them better than the newer ones? Was it because they used rips from various notable SNES games (Treasure of the Rudra, Secret of Mana 3, etc), without a care in the world? Was it because they made those games as a hobby, without any consideration of profit? Was it because there were more experimental games back then?

I know some entire community that played rpg before that would consider most game here that is considered good to be boring. so anyone here quit your arrogant thinking in thinking you know you are right. No one would bother having a long conversation with anyone they know don't have the same interests as them on an online forum unless they found out that person likes what they like as well because otherwise they are not gaining anything from it.this forum is not for me obviously. I used to go on a forum 8 years ago and this forum was the best for me.now the forum has been down. I hardly have any interests with anyone on this site other than rpg maker being the only thing we share in common. we don't share any taste in the same type of entertainment.
