Because your online and on RMN. Why not work on your games. I guess im asking:
What does it take for you to work on your games?
Inspiration, really. I have two projects going on two different programs, and unless I have the time and have been hit by inspiration, I can't do much with them. I can't have too many projects or I feel overwhelmed, so to prevent that, I keep a creative notebook to write all my ideas in.
Mainly motivation is what get's me creating games. I would work way harder on my games but work is a big factor in this and i do get easily bored.

Free time.. And ideas I guess, depends what I'm working on really.
Topic title was misleading. Fixed.

Anywho, what it takes is a scrap of free time (which is very scarce).

Indeed.

Seriously, could time stop for a little while? Like long enough for me to finish my game?

..please..? :-[
The game making process itself. The satisfaction of seeing what was once just ideas, become reality, usually inspires me enough to continue trudging on.

If all else fails, I've been known to take a sip from the magic elixir called alcohol.
I have a little too much free time right now, so my biggest obstacle is staying focused.
I normally have no problem with motivation or free time (not lately anyway) because I stay up late most nights. Whenever I feel a lack of motivation I simply work on something different or come back to it later. problem solved.
For me the only thing that makes me work on my game is extreme boredom. Usually GoW takes my interest, but if for some reason matchmaking is slow or lagging then I'll go work on my game. :-\
Mainly free time. And whenever I feel like working on it, I like to get a few things do.

Currently, when there's nothing else to do. I get on extreme productivity / extreme laziness streaks.

can't make a bad game if you don't finish any games

AMEN. When I have my second baby coming up in March, I definately will have no time for game development for over a year at best. Two kids at this age? Hiatus on all projects.
I guess at first I thought I could make a good game & had a good idea, then reality struck me ... channeling your idea into an interesting readable story is really hard!
& I'm a good mapper but I HATE mapping.

Being a perfectionest is both a Blessing & a Curse at the same time :(
Work on a game... what a novel idea. My job is to make sure other people work on the game. I am the motivation. 8)

Also any reasonable amount of free time, as in enough to actually get something done.
