CAN'T CLOSE DEBUG WINDOW, INFLUENCE SKILL

CloseWhen I try to test play my game on RPM2K3, I can't close out of the debug window... I can push X or Esc to close it but it reappears instantaneously. Not being able to test my game sucks. How can I fix this problem?
Also, I wanted to give certain enemies an "Influence" skill, like in Breath of Fire 3. Enemies like the Boss Goblin used it, and it would cause the other enemies to attack the character Influence targeted. Breath of Fire 3 was such an amazing game that I feel obligated to include Influence in my own game. :P How could I go about making this skill?

Not really sure why it is doing this. Perhaps try reinstalling 2k3 and see if that works. Remember to transfer your game to a usb or disc so you don't lose the data.
RPG Maker VX (and probably XP, I do not know) have a wonderful thing called the odds stat, which actually effects targeting directly. Need to know a bit of scripting to play with it though.
Things like this are a pain in the ass (and perhaps impossible without a CBS of some sort) in 2k3. I hope you don't plan on being overly creative with your systems.

Dude. Things that take forever to (maybe) work in rm2k/3 take five seconds in RGSS2. Like seriously.

Kentona, you are a genius. I unplugged my piece-of-crap wireless keyboard and stole my brother's keyboard, and now the Debug window works like it's supposed to. Thankee muchly.
And :( to not being able to implement Influence... It was always fun watching a party of Lizards waste each other. :P I still like RM2k3 better than VX or XP though... The first-person battle system is a turn-off for me.

Stop trolling people's statements about XP/VX with inane comments, Griever. I don't care if you hate XP/VX, but it does not make the statements by Craze and I any less true.

Trolling is following somebody around (or just browsing everything, in some cases) and being a jerk about SOMETHING or other. It'd be like following some girl named Mimi around, begging her for cheap sex.

Also, if you turned on a switch that make enemies all do the "damage target" switch skill and then custom-coded a DO (ATK / 2 - Influence Target's DEF / 4) DAMAGE thing....

I was really asking ahead of time, I'm not even thinking about making all the monsters and whatnot yet - heck, I'm still thinking of the story and drawing the maps. >_>' I'll probably only have a few parties involve Influence...
But if one of you other cool peoples would like to test Griever's Influence doohicky for me, feel free. :P
