To be fair, a large part of the New Vegas storyline is that Mr. house managed to stop a large % of nuclear missiles from landing on the Mojave. You'd kinda expect the Mojave to be more alive than Washington DC...

Yes, but that's only really accounting for the infrastructure (which is why its so attractive to outside powers). But most of the people from the Mojave are from the New California Republic, which is comprised from a collection of areas that were totally razed by nuclear missiles. The other bulk is Ceaser's Legion, which is a massive amount of people and tribes from mostly the Southwest and Central US.

i wanted to get into new vegas, i liked the opening cutscene, but i just... idk. the opening area is just red shit and water lines that i had to shoot things at or w/e. in fo3 you had that tiny town and the school and that supermarket kinda nearby and megaton and

maybe i just didn't give new vegas enough of a chance, who knows if i'll ever choose to find the time to sit down and play it.
Lately, I have been playing many DS RPG's and SRPG's which include: Radiant Historia, Luminous Arc, Etrian Odyssey, etc. I practically have spent 0% of my time in gammak... I think I have a problem. XD

Today I downloaded and started playing Katawa Shoujo. Very interesting start, I'm already eager to see where it goes from there... :)

Radiant Historia is the best RPG for DS.

Luminous Arc is absolute pandering shit.

Etrian Odyssey is nifty but buggy and too unforgiving, EO2/4 did it better.

Jesus, I forgot about how much of an absolute pile of trash that game was.

I think the early days of owning a DS and looking for RPGs were a large contributing factor to my distaste with handheld systems... That and putting up with a secondhand PSP.

Meh. I still like the game. Altough to be fair, it probably hooked me mostly the anime story and the Witches.

Especially the Witches... XD

I also agree that Radiant Historia is a great game. :D

Since I was largely new to tactical battle system games, Luminous Arc impressed me a little. What seriously annoyed me, however, is how I felt like I was spending more time reading some boring dialogue filled with annoying, badly voice-overed animu characters than actually playing the game. The fact that every cutscene was just a jumble of moving portraits didn't help with my engagement.
Today's game of choice... Sakura Spirit... because everyone on Steam was making a huge piss over the fact that it's borderline porn, so I bought it to see what all the fuss is about... why? Because porn. :3

Their opinions on this visual novel is heavily exaggerated, yeah, it's an ecchi game, but I've seen a lot worse than that.

My only real complaint about the game really is that there wasn't really any endings to the game, you choose which side you want to be on pretty much and it plays out the same. Very disappointed. I want my money back. Good thing that refunding thing on Steam is a thing now.
Now featuring: Inazuma Eleven Go Chrono Stone - Thunderflash

The original game was already more over the top than Captain Tsubasa, but this one really has it all - you can summon a huge avatar called a fighting spirit, which can be wielded as armor and encounter a person from the future who can fuse (or rather, take on the aura) with a T-Rex facing another guy who came from the future to erase soccer from history.

And that's just the prologue chapter.

There's also a rich and diverse cast of players, which can be recruited to play as, plus there's tons of things to find when you explore.
Playing the Dragon Quest in order, already finished 1, 2 and 3

I - Really basic, maybe too primitive, but it has its charm, the grinding sucks though

II - I want to like it, but is terrible, the grinding in the last zone was horrible and some things are very cryptic (Fuck the sun crest, fuck the dew's yarn, fuck the sunken ship, fuck the cave to Rhone)

III - Now this was pretty good, really liked the party system and exploring new towns, the orbs weren't that hard to find (unlike DQII) the only problem I had was the grind before fighting Baramos

I will probably play DQIV after some weeks, playing grindy rpgs really takes your energy

I'm in the process of playing DQ1 myself. The grinding you have to do is pretty damn brutal.

I do like how it feels like it knows what its doing, however. Like terrain that seemingly looks like it's there for decoration (bridges, forests, mountain ranges, etc.) actually mean something to the gameplay.

Another thing I like about series (I don't know if this will change with the newer games...) is that you have to explore, talk to the NPCs and learn important info about how to continue your quest, in the final fantasy games (with some exceptions) everything feels more linear, like is almost impossible to get lost

If II does one thing very well, its that. After 3, the games get a bit more linear and story-based. For all it's flaws, II really made you feel like an explorer.

Oh and I wanted to mention FUCK this demon spawn:

I just try to run whenever I encounter these guys... And then they block me and cast Sleep. >_>
welp, FF14's first expansion is out on prerelease. There goes all my free time for the next month!
Thinking about playing through New Vegas again. Might make my character retarded for kicks, never really done it before.

*not trying to make a slur here. I'm not joking, by setting your player character's intelligence to its minimum, you can make him/her literally retarded.

Playing Final Fantasy IX at the moment. Have found all the chocographs, got all my ultima weapons, found all the dead pepper treasure locations, got Cinna's hammer from Queen Stella. I've checked and have done every freaking sidequest in the game. All that's left is to get Ark when I reach Memoria. Right now, I'm grinding my characters til they're supermen and women.
Anyone else on here play Heroes of the Storm and want to party up sometime? I've recently become addicted to Abathur.
