somebody wanna buy my not-even-L60 d3 account in exchange for torchlight 2 or borderlands 2 or the sims 3 supernatural =|
Actually, I'm pretty excited for D3's 1.05 patch (MONSTER POWER SETTINGS). I agree that D3 is not where it needs to be, but I feel like it's most definitely moving there. It has a lot of MMO issues in a not-so-MMO game, but it's being fixed bit by bit. It SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO BE FIXED IN THE FIRST PLACE, but, well, yeah. Karsuman and I have fun mocking the hell out of it (...and then we see our combined fucktons of hours put into it/the auction house).
Anyway:
I'm playing GUILD WARS 2, DEVIL SURVIVOR 2, and playtesting Promised Abyss endlessly. Also done a few random LoL matches, but nothing serious. I want to get back into it again, though.

I played 19 mins of Torchlight II. I think I am going to like this game.
Last night I played some more Diablo 3 with my missus. We are about to kill Azmodan.
Incidentally, I bought the 4-pack pre-order special of TL2. I got one for me, one for my wife, one as a birthday gift for a friend, and the last one was supposed to be for my bro-in-law, who likes these kinds of games, but he tells me he is too busy (he bought GW2 and has only been able to play it twice since buying it). So... I have an extra copy of TL2 to gift...
EDIT:
Oddly enough, I am actually preferring the graphics of TL2. They are cleaner and I find it easier to identify enemies in that game from the environment. I thought I was going to hate the cartoony style (I didn't care for it in TL) but the higher resolution and textures in TL2 make it work.
TL2 also had me vexed from the get go on class selection. I was like "I WANT TO PLAY THEM ALL. AT ONCE."

Borderlands 2!
I'm enjoying the game so far. Since I enjoyed the first game, I'm not surprised.
Starting out as Zero.

Still chugging along in Torchlight 2. Beat the game on normal and was a little dismayed by just how easy the normal setting was, so I used the console to up my difficulty to veteran for new game+ and I'm finding it to be much more enjoyable now.
Also Map Works is really cool. I feel like it's almost essential in new game+ because I started it at 50 and some of the areas in the first act are levels 54-55. I'm using Map Works to get myself up to those levels (at 52 now). Kind of wonder if my engineer would have been 1-2 levels higher if I hadn't started on normal originally?

Yeesh, I've had some shitty gaming experiences lately. Maybe I should just stop trying new things.
Starhawk is the worst fucking thing I've ever played, and I LOVED Warhawk. I have no interest in the single player BS. Since Warhawk was the ONLY online game I've ever enjoyed playing, I wanted this to be like that. Due to the awful flat map designs, however, and the shitty pod re-spawning bullshit, I can't last more than one second without some sniping ass twat killing me in one hit. And of course, since you can only use the game on one system, I can't even sell the POS. I can't believe someone tried to sue Bioware when they could be focusing in on scams like this instead. Anyways, lesson learned. Don't buy games.
I got the Splinter Cell trilogy. The first game seemed decent enough. After the first level though, I wasn't able to pick it back up again. It's just that boring.
Cave Story is meh, and way overhyped. I'll probably keep playing to see if it gets better though, since I'm running out of new things to play.
Maybe I just hate games nowadays. I definitely don't have the patience I used to, but every new experience seems like a shitty copy of something I used to like.

...Ocelot?

Ocelot.
And here I was picturing a wild cat. Silly me.
For some reason I picked up Daikatana, and did the unthinkable. I actually put the cartridge into my 64, picked up a controller, and then pushed the switch on. I must hate myself or something.

Watched a friend start a new character in Skyrim last night. She made a paladin-type Imperial, and is having an incredibly hard time not just shooting everything and everybody dead.
author=CrazeThis is what we are trained to do as gamers.

I managed to finish two games yesterday.
FTL:
And SPACE MARINE (you have to say it with a British accent and quite loud and with pondus. As a helper I sometimes put a fucking before it so it sounds like fucking SPACE MARIIIINE!
As a fan of Warhammer 40k I think Space Marine delivered on every count imaginable. The story was strong, the gameplay was fairly strong, the environments... Well they were just spot on. Everything was so godsdamn massive, just the way I've always envisioned it being in those books. But actually walking amongst these giant structures that used to be the homes of millions of workers. And also the sheer size of the Space Marines themselves hulking over the regular humans and barely fitting through the regular human doors.
It was also fairly short (According to steam I've played it for 8 hours and finished it), but to be honest who has time to play long games these days? The game's not perfect but godsdammit if it isn't awesome and awe-inspiring. Holy shit. SPACE MARIIIINE.

I started playing Warcraft 3 again recently. I'm awful at the game though, the AI destroys me on normal difficulty as soon as they decide to attack (5-10 minutes in)... so I'm mostly just tooling around in the editor and adding custom units that are balanced and inspired by WoW. Good fun.
Well a few hours ago I was introduced to Rayman Origins by a buddy, and the first thing that popped into my head was HOLY SHIT LOOK AT THE FRAMERATE ON THAT TITLE SCREEN.
