[RM2K] (VALUE) REPLACE EXISTING TWO FONTS

Posts

Pages: 1
I'm using RPG Maker Value 2k for a game I'm doing and I don't know if this is possible, but is there any way to replace the two existing fonts without the entire game glitching and spitting out an error message? I've tried using the font patch on a "test project" and the game seems to screw up when you start to scroll through items, skills, and that sort of thing. Have people made a font patch version for RPG Maker Value, or people don't care anymore? Just curious. I guess it was easier with the Don Miguel RPG Maker and the first RPG Maker ever. Ever.

Add a folder named "Fonts" to your project file and put any fonts you want in there. They'll get added to the list of available fonts in the database.

Edit: Oh, the font patch is for Tsukuru (the name we use for the pirated versions before they became available in the US.). It's not for new fonts. It was to fix an annoying problem with the fonts in the Tsukuru version.
Hmmm....
Well I did that, but .ttfs and .fon's aren't showing up as a selection, it's still on the rpg2000 and rpg2000G font selections, and they're in the folder. :/
Weird?
(Value version 1.62)
I remember that occurring though with Tsukuru and people, had made 'fonts' to replace the fonts and their own like Kefuka.fon and others like Barrington Lane or something like that...

Hmm...maybe I'm misremembering and it just automatically replaces the font in-game. That's probably it.
Another method was showing, that you need to use a hex editor. :/ Seems kinda annoying, and I did it before but then it failed. V_V

Oh, I'm an idiot. I don't think you can actually do this with 2K.
NO! I'm sorry! You can only change the fonts in later Makers!
