SUGGESTION
Should we have something like a 'This Week on RMN' thing? Basically it would highlight weekly news in the community, like interesting discussions and things going on in the forum (involving both games and General), and new games, articles, and such on the site.

I've been pondering it for a while now. The problem for me is that I am investing all my time right now to finish my game. We need someone invested and dedicated to pull something like this off.

You know...this thing you've mentioned "This Week on RMN" is similar to what GW are doing as well. Do you mean something like that (general popular topics, screenshot of the week, latest games featured etc)?

THIS WEEK ON RMN
WHAT'S NEW IN GAME DEVELOPMENT?
Play Something! III is here! Because everyone loves their fellow man and playing their creations (not), Play Something! has rolled around again, and there's enough game playing to satiate even the most inconsolable of game makers; your game is bound to be played and appreciate by someone if you've put even the slightest amount of effort in advertising it. Due to a good point brought up by WIP, this PS! will also emphasize everyone to review the games that they've played. Speaking of which, review threads are popping up all over the forum. Get your game reviewed now by our expert panel of game tasters before they all turn into alcoholics.
Dragon Fantasy II is complete and ready to be played, by you! Ephiam, primarily known by the community for his excellent quality games inspired by the classic Dragon Quest series, has finally completed the long awaited sequel Dragon Fantasy II. Personally, I think that these are some of the greatest games to hit the community, and everyone should give it a shot. Seriously, that isn't just a stock statement, Ephiam knows his shit. Play his game!
I do what I seem to do best, starting shit; and this week I start a community discussion on the community's integrity and pride! What started out as my admittedly pointless rambling on the RM community and how we can all contribute to the better of it turned into one of the hottest topics on the site, spanning 4 pages and over 500 views in less than 24 hours! Watch and behold as everyone and their mother debate and discuss on everything from being a lazy and selfish bum, kentona's old age, and the rumble in the jungle that everyone's been waiting for, Maker vs. Maker! Feel free to join in if you already haven't ran away screaming by the second page.
Map Design Fun #6; We go old school! Kentona challenges whoever is worthy in a Map Design Fun, Dragon Quest VI edition! Personally, I really think that this graphic style is really unappreciated, but then again, I kinda like how kentona and Ephiam are the rare four leaf clovers that use it oh so well.I haven't participated because I'm a lazy bum Participate today!
WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON?
We discuss what kind of fandom sends us into a frothy rage. Most of the answers are your usual Final Fantasy (SEPHIROTH IS MY KAWAII *glomps*) and such but like a weird, inverse Godwins Rule, it doesn't take long for Twilight to be brought up and tossed around and belitted like a nerds hat in a schoolyard. Basically this topic is a cesspool of frustration and hatred and it's a good venting spot because everyone hates something, right?
In a stunning show of masochism I try to remember and comment on every single game I've ever played in my life! I know I won't really get around to all of them but it's fun to try and I see this topic outlasting most of the topics on the VG forum if I actually keep up with it. At the time of this writing I haven't updated in a while but that's sure to change because typing this has reminded me to do so. Also Max has nominated me to receive a medal because he is unsure if it's the best or worst topic ever.
Craze goes insane, proclaims himself Emperor What is surely not an optional reading selection at all and is most probably an account of Craze's experience with hallucinogens makes its way into the Artistic License & Literature forum. But seriously, it's a pretty fun read and made me crack a good smile.

The centering text reminds me of pantsman, also whats with those random lines? I like Mog's layout better. It's simple and quick to read.
I like myers layout, except that I'd left align the paragraphs, with an indent (if possible). Sorry mog.

I tried it with myers layout and it looked unwieldy and difficult to read. In the end it doesn't really matter to me, but the way I wrote it seems a lot easier on the eyes and has a better 'flow.' I really implore you guys to use that one! (sorry myers)

I like Feld's, it's a bit more... sensational. myers' is fairly clinical you could say. However I prefer myers' content since it has articles and stuff in "this week on RMN". I think (following what WIP has said for RMN3) that in a "This Week on RMN" article/newspost the games released this week should come first, then submitted articles/tutorial and forum threads last.

I'm for this format. myersguy's is more organized but also maybe a little rigid and impersonal? The above format is more open and maybe better suited for weeks where nothing much really happens at all.
Then again, the above format might be harder to write. myersguy's template is easier to rattle off.
