IN THIS TOPIC I BRIEFLY COMMENT ON EVERY VIDEO GAME I'VE EVER PLAYED.
Posts
I like having characters that want to be good guys and think it's important to save the day. That's who I like role playing as. Also, the more simple the characters, the more is left up to the imagination.
I demand very different types of stories and methods of story telling from video games and books.
But I guess I'm a guy who likes the Dragon Quest-style type of story telling the best for RPGs.

Chrono Trigger is dumb. It is like the stupidest game ever. It is super lame.
Your lame. :(
Soviet Strike
Playstation

I really, really want to play this game again. This game is one of many I've played in during an era of my childhood I'd call 'The Rental Years', or at least the summer. Those are the summers where everyone would be at work and I'd be alone all day (provided my friends didn't come outside to play) playing video games I rented from the local Blockbuster.
This is one of those games, and it was a pretty good one. Challenging as well, because I got pretty far in it, but I never beat it. I'd really like to sit down and play it again for some good times; this is one of those games from an era of video games I really enjoyed.

For those of us older, that post reminds us of Desert Strike for the SNES.
That was good times. I heard Soviet Strike was also really good. There's one or two more I think. Jungle Strike, and....?

The Street of Rage games were poor compared to Double Dragon (not counting no.3).
I played Desert Strike (SNES) and Nuclear Strike (PSX). Great games especially the ending to the Desert Strike.

*piledrives you*
I beg to differ!
I have read over some of it and this is either the greatest or the worst topic I have ever seen. Either way, Feld should get a medal of some kind.
author=brandonabley link=topic=2836.msg54986#msg54986 date=1231632631Still better then the "Tales of" series.

Spider-Man/X-Men: Arcade's Revenge
Genesis, SNES

Hahaha yo dawg fuck this game. Seriously, this game is notorious for being hard as hell. It's one of my favorite games from back in the day but you probably weren't going to beat it! See basically Arcade trapped Spiderman and the X-Men in some crazy place and the player has to beat every character's stage (there's Wolverine, Gambit, Cyclops, Spiderman, and Storm), but honestly I only think I ever beat like half of them and I sure as hell never beat the game.
Gambit's stage has a rolling ball chasing him, Storm's stage has her underwater constantly near drowning, and I remember Wolverine having to fight the Juggernaut and seriously taking about a hundred hits to beat him. However, the game was still fun, and this is a depressing example of how some kinds of games (superhero franchises) were generally more fun than they are now.

Okami
PS2, Wii

This game...this game is beautiful. Seriously, I have never seen a game so pretty as Okami. That, and the fact that the gameplay utilized cool concepts such as paint strokes to determine actions and abilities...I had a lot of fun with this. Games with a unique art style usually catch my attention, and this was no exception. A friend showed me this game, and I never beat it myself, but I would like to purchase the game someday to experience and enjoy it. Of course, the game itself had high reviews but poor sales, because people are stupid.

I would totally buy Okami if I had a Wii or a PS2.

As fun as some of the Tales games are, I would say that yeah, Chrono Trigger is better than the Tales series. At worst, the Tales games look like they've been ripped from the most generic anime you can imagine.

Clover
:'( Manly tears were shed with my god hand.
I loved Okami. So pretty!
I borrowed it from a friend that had it and managed to finish it with everything. <3
My friend offered to give it to me FOR FREE and I (idiot that I am at times) said 'Nah. I'll get me own copy'.
<insert major facepalmage here>
He since leant it to another friend and has yet to get it back.
I'm an idiot aren't I?

I spent about 4 hours just wandering around in Okami then stopped because I knew what was coming next.
