Not really sure if there is a topic like this already. What kind of games did you grow up on?

For me it would be,

-The earlier pokemon games. Yellow and red were just plain awesome.
-The first legend of zelda. Still play this every once and a while.
-Final Fantasy 1 and 2. Played these when i was only around 6 years old.
I started playing Super Mario Bros. when I was like 1 year old, according to my mom and then I eventually beat it when i turned 2 XD

I used to play it everyday.
Grew up on:
Alex the Kidd
Wonder Boy
Breath of Fire II
Rainbow Islands
Secret of Mana/Evermore

Mostly Sega/SNES games.

Super Mario Bros. + Duck Hunt, and Tetris. That's all we had until my sister got Sega Genesis and I got Sega Gamegear. Got the original NES for my...tenth birthday? I forget. Videogames were so lame back then. I was too busy building forts and pretending to be Power Rangers.
Space + King Quest with some Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior

That probably explains why I can be such a stupid machoistic gamer at times.
Super Mario series, Legend of Zelda series (NES), Donkey Kong series (famicom), and Pokemon when it first came out in Japan.

My first SNES RPG I think was Super Mario RPG Seven Stars. The first Final Fantasy I played...was Mystic Quest. Haha.
Kirby lol I grew up on that stuff. (sounds like i talking about a drug lol) I also played a lot of Mario Kart, Mario 64, and Pokemon
Super Mario World, SMRPG, Kirby Superstar, Donkey Kong Country.
-Street Fighter
-Sonic
-Alex the Kidd
-Prince of Persia

My brother used to have a FPS type game on the SNES, I can't remember the name, But I used to be scared of the Gameover music, haha! I have tons of images in my head of games I used to play. I really wish I could remember the titles of them.
I guess the biggest game was probably Super Mario Bros 3. I don't have any real specific memories of it though. But I remember things around it. A review in a magazine I read, my school backpack was Mario 3-themed. And all that stuff. It was a huge game :D

Super Mario Bros was my first game when I was seven. And it played a fair part in that whole thingie.

Oh and Zelda. And Snake Rattle'n Roll. And Tecmo World Cup. And Nintendo World Cup. And Blood Bowl. And Drakar och Demoner. And Sword of Hope. And Link's Awakening. And Prince of Persia.

GODDAMN SO MANY GAMES.
I beat Final Fantasy when I was 6 (1990). I beat Dragon Warrior III a year later.
I didn't have an SNES because I preferred the Sega Genesis, so I grew up entirely on Sonic, and the Sega Channel.
Shining Force. I was a huge Shining Force fan kid, so I bought every game with SHINING in it (Shining in the Darkness). Unfortunately I never got to play the second Shining Force until I emulated it years later.

Other than that, the classics of course. Breath of Fire, Inindo, Warsong (Langrisser), the awesome X-Men games, Secret of Evermore, and Lufia just to name a few.
Dragon Warrior 1-4, Super Mario Bros 1-3 + World, Megaman, Final Fantasy VI (it's the only one I've really played extensively), Secret of Mana, SimCity, DOOM, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong (not Country!), Asteroids, Solar Fox.

Early classical RPGames like Breath of Fire, Lufia, Final Fantasy 3-6, Chrono Trigger .... good times.
Sonic 3&K and Sonic CD, both on my PC.

I had a GB Pocket when I was younger, my only games on that were the Warioland games. (AKA best handheld games ever, topic over)

The first RPG I can remember playing was Pokemon Yellow. I never touched any of this BoF/FF/DW stuff.
HOVER!
Jazz Jackrabbit
Indiana Jones and His Desktop Adventures
Freddi Fish: The Case of the Missing Kelp Seeds
Random Gameboy games
some random NES and SNES games, mostly RPGs and Platformers
