I'm bringing this world back for you and for me.

Well Good Luck to WIP and future projects. If I can help in anyway also just contact me. This is the time for us to show more energy than ever into RMN. RMN is a community and requires everyone to make it work.
I may not post often, or even come around regularly. But it seems to me that WIP was one of the largest cogs that turned the wheels of the site. The new version he was working on look really nice, and had some good ideas. Do not let his ideas be the sole inspiration to your vision for the site.

People that feel like leaving, the cogs are still spinning, it's quite evident. Perhaps with people that are fresh eyes, this site can become something better, and have more diverse ideas. I really hope we see a larger horizon, as far as site development goes. I've got hopes for the new team, and the new organization in it's entirety. If you still feel like leaving, I hope you can do at least humor them and adopt a "wait and see" approach. If their changes are not what you think should happen, then feel free to do what you want. But remember eventually if all the members jump off the ship, eventually it's a very empty place.

Thanks for the support. I should probably tell you that my eyes may not be so fresh; I have owned rpgmaker.net since 2003 and co-founded the current iteration of the site. WIP's departure just kind of forced me to... "unretire" and be more active.

I guess it is better than being a people greeter at Wal-Mart when you are sixty five.

I have had many people ask me questions regarding where we are going from here. The short version is that, instead of a drastic site overhaul as was planned, we will be focusing on shoring up the current iteration of the site. Many features planned for RMNv3 will still be implemented if feasible, while others may not.

I know one of the items on my agenda is the games listing. We've seen some minor changes to it recently, but it is not very user friendly. Aside from layout changes, also be on the lookout for more powerful ways to browse the games database.
Fresh eyes doesn't necessarily mean NEW eyes. :]
