BEST AND WORST ZELDA GAME

Best: Minish Cap. Loved all the extra things in the game but getting shut out of the library wasn't fun. :<

Worst: Probably Twilight Princess although to be fair I haven't really played it properly.
I believe that Twilight Princes was the most DEVELOPED of them all; it kept my attention way more than Ocarina of Time did (plus I still haven't passed the Water Temple in OOT, I have seen the final boss/ending though)
I honestly think this topic should be changed to "most and least favorite" as I don't think there is Zelda game (other than the CD-i games) that can be described as bad.

Honestly, though, my least favorite would be a toss up between "Link's Awakening" or the "Oracles" games. I liked them as a kid but when I try to play them now, I get bored. And while I can't fully elaborate on this observation, as I haven't played a lot of "Minish Cap" and haven't played "Phantom Hourglass" at all yet, but it seems the handheld games definitely get the short-straw in the series in terms of quality.

Most Favorite would definitely be "Ocarina of Time" with "Twilight Princess" and "Link To The Past" as runner-ups.
That's funny, I think Link's Awakening and the Oracle games are the definitive Zelda games and all the other ones are a bit strange.

Cool how we think so differently.

Worst: The original Zelda game. Put your nostalgia down and admit that this game sucked. It was horrible. I have never played this game for more than 5 minutes without getting bored, no matter how much I've wanted to. It's just like Golden Axe Warrior (or whatever that game was called) on the Master System and I hated that as well (or, more, Golden Axe Warrior is just like the original Zelda).
Compared to other games of its time, it was pretty great. The only other good games in that particular genre on the original Nintendo that I can think of off the top of my head were the Guardian Legend, Star Tropics, and Crystalis, and all of those came at least two years after Zelda.

And the Guardian Legend was at least half top-down shooter, so it might not even count.
I have never enjoyed a Zelda game, except for the CD-I ones.

No, I'm not joking.

WHAT?
I think it was great then and it's great now.

The later Zelda games took Zelda 3 as their basis, not Zelda's 1 or 2, so it's harder to relate to perhaps in that sense.

Zelda stories have for the most part sucked, and it didn't really have one. Just good old exploring and finding hidden stuff and beating hard monsters.

I have never enjoyed a Zelda game,...

No, I'm not joking.
I can relate.

OoT was okay...I guess, but the best part was the battle system, and it was barely used. The only good battles were against those skeletons in the final tower, every other battle was gimmicky. Even the final battle was frickin' PONG. Seriously? PONG? C'mon...

Must be why I was a SEGA kid...
Were there even four good games for the Master System, regardless of genre? Genesis didn't come around until the NES was already dying, so it's not really fair to compare the games on one to the other.

Wow, I can't believe it. The CD-I ones were the worst ones.

I guess the best Zelda game I've played was Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages.

Yeah, but after you get past the pong and escape his castle, Ganon goes all "I'm a big ole freaking demon bull awesome glowy eye look beast awesome guy awesome thing with two golden sword/trident things" Then it's cool, 'cause you blast him with light arrows and slash him and stuff.
Favorite: Link To The Past (Just the memories and the shear size of this game! Just still the best after all these wonderful years!)

Worst: Zelda 2 (...ugh!) :(
Favourite would have to be Wind Waker. Had some challenging enemies and i rather enjoyed the cartoony style.

Worst would have to be Four Swords. (i think that's the multiplayer one) Far too easy and bored me the whole way through.
