He explained, in a deadpan way, why the hell Harold and Kumar II is on anyone's top 10 list, let alone #2.

He's not actually saying racism is funny.

Like, if we were talking about Legally Blonde 2, he'd have said "Being blonde is funny." in that same sarcastic way.
Legally Blonde was a masterpiece, so kentona I am glad you did not use the original as a example.

The sequel, on the other hand...

Your probably the first person I've heard say they hated that movie, (other than me) seriously. My brother has the friggen wallpaper on his desktop because he loved the movie so much and all my other friends think I just hate on movies when I tell them I hated that movie, but it was really awful!

Are you serious? That movie was hideous. I went with a group of friends and we all hated it. I don't understand how anyone can like it (unless... you have... really bad taste....)
So I watched two of the films on my TOSEE list from 2008: Eagle Eye and The Happening.

Eagle Eye was alright as a generic action flick, I guess. It definitely wasn't better than I expected. I just couldn't figure out that, if ARIA could basically make anyone do anything (which was never really explained either...it was a surveillance supercomputer used to crunch data. Why does it have a sentient AI?), why didn't ARIA just make two thugs go to LeBeouf's apartment, rough him up, grab him, and drive him to the Pentagon? Would've been much easier, I think.

The Happening was okay. It wasn't as bad as the impression I got about it. The self-mutilation and suicides (especially the walking off buildings) was well done - like creepy in a subtle way. Ending was a bit of a letdown.

To be honest, 2008 was the year I watched less movies compared to 2007 and earlier... but here is the list of what I enjoyed so far:

Jumper (I liked it actually)
Doomsday (awesome movie! hot hot hot rhona mitra :P)
Deception (intriguing movie starring hugh jackman)
Punisher: Warzone (haha awesome bloodly action)
Batman: Dark Knight (Looooved this one)
Iron Man (Great movie)
Body of Lies (interesting movie, but I'm deffinitely not a Dicaprio fan)
Yes Man (very funny, plus Jim Carrey is a funny guy)
Wanted (I like exxagerated effects, so I wasn't bored watching this)
Hellboy II (wow, I thought I was gonna be bored, but it was kinda funny and decent)

...and well, this was meh, but not boring:

Harold and Kumar escape from guantanamo
Jim Carrey is just the best. Glad to see he hasn't lost his touch yet. Age is catching up on him.

I'll be more specific; racism isn't funny but racial stereotypes (like all other stereotypes) are. Just like the blonde stereotype is. So long as you're not prone to being easily offended, of course.

I'm sorry but I don't understand how having shitty stereotypes is funny.

Asian stereotypes william hung ???ruined America for asia pneople

insert psyburn into the "???"
