EPIC
Monster Dungeon Explore
3

Story Summary
Not so long ago, two heroes put an end to the villainous reign of Evilgod. These heroes were Leon and Mara. Now, they're back with their friend Jesse--or really, they aren't back, they're quite new. You see, the party was beating up Czarina and her oblivion-sending punches for a second time when Evilgod's spirit opened up a portal that sent the four of them to a different world. Sucks, right? Well, now it's up to Leon, Mara, Jesse and whoever else they find on their journey to seal away Evilgod once and for all.

Gameplay Summary
As a non-linear blend of Epic Monster Dungeon Explore! 2 and Demon Tower, this game is massive. There are tons of dungeons to explore, epic quests to partake in, and three + five characters to fight as. You'll never be bored when explore the world of Eraad!

But how do you fight? An excellent question! You are able to customize each character in any way you desire. Every level, you gain ability points that you can put into--get this--your stats. If you don't like what you've created you can always visit a town with an AP-reset post. While your three main characters have no inherent strengths or weaknesses, the other characters you recruit have their own little quirks that you can build upon to create specialized battle machines.

Also present in EMDE3 are orbs that allow you to absorb their powers. Equip an orb for long enough and your orbic link will send orba into your body, teaching you new skills and feats. You have the ultimate say when it comes to customizing your characters!

FORGET EVERYTHING! FORGET EVERYTHING!

Your characters have stats, but currently are lacking accessories.

Maybe you have to go here. Maybe you'll decide to never go here.

Questions? Comments? Want me to elaborate on something? I'm more than willing... on most subjects. =D

sasosonwa (20:11:12): haha
sasosonwa (20:11:18): like kentona's post.
CrazeTex (20:12:06): I promise you all that this game is more fun than Demon Tower.
CrazeTex (20:12:29): It is basically the same game, but you have to work at getting the extra characters and it is not anywhere near as rigid. :<
CrazeTex (20:12:38): It is also way more fun to make!

My friend was the one who made the original Epic Monster Dungeon Explore and is wondering why you didn't obtain legal rights to the franchise. :-[

Stop being a douche all over the place. I know already that kitty is quite happy that she has fangames.

I like how Craze finally made a popular game and then abruptly quit working on it.

Why don't you just retrofit Demon Tower with your new game philosophy stance?

Stop being a douche all over the place.

Seriously.

I am taking what I perceived to the best aspects of Demon Tower (epic bosses, easy party flexibility, weird dialogue) and putting it into a shinier package with much better mapping.

Could you PM me his/her/whoever's e-mail address, or tell them to IM Crazetex when they get a chance? If you're not dicking around (you seriously making it hard as hell to tell!) then I would like to solve this problem!

MODIFY: I guess I am sorry for calling you a douche, but, like, I was under the impression that the creator of this was a girl going by the internet alias of Kitty who was "sitting on her pile of fangames" and stuff.

MODIFY 2: Maybe I should just rename it Monster Dungeon Tower Demon not-3!

Wants.

But/also, why not just finish Demon Tower (first)?

Also does anyone know where I can find the ORIGINAL EMDE? Google has failed me.

It was released by Kitty on Gaming World a few years ago.

More like THREE MONTHS AGO.

Karsu has already said something about NOT complaining. Please, don't whine in this topic.

COOL FEATURE:

Chicken Soup for the Adventurer

Sleeping is an important part of living in Eraad. While inns and hotels work in a similar to fashion to most RPGs--a full heal--they also serve the function of resting up the party. Whenever a party stays at an inn, they wake up Refreshed, Rested, or Well-rested. These benefits provide a (respective) 10, 20 and 35 percent increase in core stats, as well as a small static boost to percentage stats (accuracy, evasion and skill).

After each encounter, no matter whether you escape or fight or what, you lose rest. Eventually, your benefits will wear off (although they will never devolve into penalties due to lack of sleep). When the Well-rested or Rested states wear off, they move one step down the ladder. After the party looses their Refreshed state, they are at average stat levels again.

Naturally, there are many settlements in the game to explore and each will have one or more places to stay at. Most inns and hotels have multiple room types to choose from with costs based on how much it rests up the party, how ritzy the settlement is in general, and the party's level. Cities will (I have not actually mapped out an entire city yet (it is a SCARY TASK OKAY I have been making villages and swamps instead)) have many different places to stay at... like Oblivion. Unlike Oblivion, however, you'll actually be able to feel the difference in how rested a place's beds are! You might even wake up to find a surprise... a thief? A mysterious letter? An invitation to a fancy party, intended to be delievered to the previous room renter? Maybe you'll just find that an inn makes you cough up a ton for money for rest that doesn't measure up. Maybe you'll become a rest snob and always stay at fine hotels--but don't think you'll be able to keep upgrading your armor if you spend all your money at The Valle de Chambre*.

Maybe, however, you're an on-the-go mercenary kind of adventurer. You don't want to bother with finding the best deals or spending time in crowded, large cities. That is why you can find little old women who enjoy making different kinds of soup (among other food items with similar properties). Whenever you consume food labeled as Homestyle, you will lengthen the amount of time spent in your current rested state! Note that soups and other meals will never increase your current rest state (eating can't improve Rested to Well-rested, for example), and that you can't 'stockpile' these extra rest points. Food consumed before your previous food is digested results in waste.

Messages appear whenever food is digested, states devolve, etc.

*I know I spelled that wrong.
Footsteps and glimmers of light penetrated the gloom. It was her, such trivial signs, the perfect singular click of her heels and the barely audible rustling of her dress betrayed her identity to him. Such signs aside, there was nobody else who would have sought him out within his prison.
Yes, his prison. There were no cages, no dungeons, and no cells within the this forum, it was by Craze's own design that he'd snuffed out his lanterns and sealed his windows so tight that not even the sunlight got through. His furnishings had gone unused, his rug tossed aside. Even now, he sat on the bare floor, cradling his cup of screenshots in his lap.
He'd not done it in some feeble attempt to shirk his compatriot's ire, or even to subdue his own guilt. No, he'd done it out of fear. If he'd seen the light outside, if he'd gone onto the site to check the news and had glanced over the "new Project" button, he was afraid he may have run out and made another EMDE. And truly, there was nothing to stop him, the admins would have let him go without so much as a word of recrimination. Though, to be truthful, he could have gone nowhere for feedback. Few forums would hear the word of a plagiarist, a copyright violator such as himself. But that aside... it was Her that he was afraid of.
"Kitty" the name seemed so innocent, so harmless so docile. And yet he had fallen in love with her game, the goofy mediocre implementation, the merciless lack of a save feature, the hilariously cheap and stolen graphics. If he lost his senses and tabbed over to the create a new project window, he would break her heart even more than he already had, and such torment he could not have withstood. Her forum response came quickly and yet quietly, as if she'd merely drifted by the website.
When his trembling gaze met hers, his words, his justifications got caught in his throat. There was no malice, no anger, no pain, only understanding
"I know why you did what you did, Craze." Her voice... the voice of a Goddess?

"I know why..."
I've talked to Ciel, and apparently the previous post is real? Whatever.

Anyway, guys, at Craze's request I am locking this topic.

Why? Because you guys refused to talk about THIS game and instead went on and on about an unrelated game.

Good going, fellas.
