CloseI decided to start up this topic to give everyone there opinion on future games that are coming out on any of the consoles. If you have anything to say about future games then write in and share.
A game that has interested me is the new Final Fantasy that is coming out on PS3 late next year for north america. Below are some of the features that it holds.
Story
Not much is known about the story other than it is set in an advanced technological world where the people live alongside magic. The main storyline is said to be along the lines of FF12 but way better and advanced.
Characters
Below is the character named Lightning which is either her nickname or codename but her real name is not yet revealed. She is said to be strong and holds a weapon that can turn into either a gun or sword.
Not much is known about this guy except that he is in his twenties, rides some sort of motorcycle and comes to the aid of lightning.
Battle System
The battle system has said to have gone back to ATB like in the previous games. But unlike the other games it is said that characters can fuse there attacks together to become stronger.

Final Fantasy 13 looks so good. Lucky for me i am getting a ps3 at christmas. I actually thought that it was on ps2 but i must have been wrong. Isn't there other games in the Final Fantasy line up as well?
Final Fantasy XIII looks like crap to me. Technically it's great looking, but I'm getting pretty sick of Nomura's awful character designs.

All the female leads have been the same look and style since FF10. Not to mention as a character she is supposed to just be a female version of Cloud.

That has been the only thing wrong with the latest Final Fantasy games. The character designs. Technically i prefered the characters from the very first ones. Also, why is it that all final fantasies have the main character looking like a female. Vann from FF12 had long blonde hair and reminded me of an old GIRLFRIEND.

Yes, i think it does. I think it is some kind of weapon as well. Just like Lightnings weapon it can change into different things.
Another game that is really interested me is the newest Metroid game coming out on the wii. Looks so good and hopefully be even better than the previous, especially since it's on the wii.

You must live in Europe or something, maoville. I've already beaten Metroid Prime 3.

Where i live the game is coming out in about a week. Now that i've heard it's good i am definately buying it. The graphics and cutscenes in the game look fantastic.

Just found out that Brawl is coming out in 2008. I was positive that it was coming out next year. Was looking so forward to it now that they've added sonic in the game.

Just so you know there is a topic on Brawl but it's fine to post it here. It was supposed to come out here at the end of the year but it's now coming out next year in february or march. Most people here including myself are very disappointed that we have to wait next year to play as sonic. :'( :'( :'(

Has anyone played the new Dynasty Warriors. For people that don't know what it is it's an rpg type game on most gaming systems that has the hero fighting to save the world from the forces of darkness. Kinda on the lines of Final Fantasy. I am sure a new one is coming onto the ps2 soon. If anyone has anything on this to say then write in.

It's already out, actually. Was released in North America sometime in 2005.
Fun fact of the day: Dynasty Warriors is based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms, one of the greatest Chinese novels ever written; others include Journey to the West (featuring the Monkey King), Outlaws of the Marsh (Suikoiden was based off of this) and A Dream of Red Mansions. So, it's more along the lines of a historical drama than Final Fantasy; if you can call various warriors fighting each other with elemental Musou attacks a historical drama.
There's illustrations of Lu Bu in Romance of the Three Kingdoms, too. It's awesome.

Yes, Dynasty Warriors really is a fantastic series. I don't really think you can call it on the lines of Final Fantasy as it has way more violence than any Final Fantasy game. Has a lot of love and romance in the games as well which really pisses me off.
