SPRING'S A COMIN'-WHAT'S YOUR PLANS?
Posts
It seems like this year has had the longest winter and fall ever, especially since I spent the better part of the winter in Erie (ugh). It's getting warmer all around, and we're halfway through March. I've always liked the warm seasons better than the cold, and the sunshine is right around the corner. Sunshine, green trees, warm breezes, summer rains...
Due to the recession, I've been short on cash for a long time, but I'm in the process of building up my reserves to have some much needed fun in the sun after an entire two seasons of stress. Because I'm in the middle of colleges and cities, I've got a bit more free time this spring and summer, and I'm wondering what I'm going to do. First off, I think I'm going to grab my best friend and do some traveling, maybe Jersey Shore, or New York, or something.
Other than that, I'm just going to coast, seeing what comes up with friends/girlfriend, and just try to have a good time soaking up the sun, especially since this is my first summer as a 21 year old, and that opens up a lot of opportunities. I'll be busy too, because my girfriend and I have been debating about getting a place in New York City with some room, ates, and come June/July, I'm going to get started on that, especially since she's not familiar with it at all like I am. I really want to hit the beach, though.
I don't know! I have so much on my plate but I want to do so much! Summer and spring are really my favorite times of the year besides for horrendous allergies.

I pretty much have spring break this week and was supposed to have gone to California to visit my uncle, but apparently his plans have changed, so I'm sort of coming up with things to do as I go! Winter's been very tough for me this hear-- I have little remorse about it coming to an end!
Also, it is absolutely impossible for me to have any substantial amount of money without impulsively spending it, so. =[

Me and my dad intend to meet up and head out where the bears and fish are.
I.e. He lives in the sticks, and I'll probably spend the weekend with him during spring break. It'll be awesome

I'm going to do one of two things, Replay RE5, or attempt to learn to make RMXP character sets.
Most likely the former.
Most likely the former.
Finishing up spring classes now, and working on term papers for some classes. I also plan to start working on a new amateur game that I'm very excited about, and maybe start writing a novel if I get the go-ahead from my college to use it for a project. I'll also probably drive back to my parents' home and help them with some summer projects, but yeah, I'll probably never leave the state of Iowa for another 2 or so years until some vacation or something pops up :P.
Buying a bicycle.
I need to do a spring clean. Bathroom sink is blocked, blinds need dusting, stairs need a good wipe. So yeah nothing interesting, just household stuff.
I plan to see a lot of friends I haven't keep in touch for a while now and I also wouldn't mind a job right now. :P
edit: I noticed the "buy a bicycle" posts. I need to get rid of my one as I don't ride it any more (the back wheel got mashed and it's not worth fixing even though I did fix it once but that's besides the point).
edit2: So I guess I need to buy a bicycle too.

Mine was stolen last fall. I was quite surprised that I didn't find it discarded a block away because it was a piece of shit bike.

Buying a bicycle.
I'm in Disney Land as we speak. Came down for a spring break band trip. Unfortunately, we leave tomorrow. 12 hour drive = not cool.
As a side effect, I was not able to participate in RS:D

Story time with Holb.
My wife and I both bought bikes in 2006 when we lived in New Orleans. They were both fairly cheap.
Within a month or so, someone had managed to jump over a 9' wrought iron gate that surrounded our house and stole my wife's 26" bike, complete with child seat. We never seen it again.
Flash forward a couple of years and several moves later, and someone decided to steal my bike, which by now is in pretty bad shape. I found it outside an apartment complex a couple of blocks down from my house. I thought it was pretty hilarious, especially considering the pedal was now broke and my seat cover was missing. I decided to dramatically steal my bike back, yelling loudly the entire time.
I then took the bike home and scrapped it.
