ONCE AGAIN, I'M LOOKING FOR WORK.
Posts
I checked out some of your work and yeah, it definitely makes the cut. I don't feel too justified in having a custom soundtrack for a game that uses rips though. But, I'll hold onto your contact info and hit you up when I make an 100% original resources game. It'll happen someday.. I hope.
Anyways, I think it'll be cool if you could just make more general battle and boss music like "My Guardian Angel". Those kinds of songs tend to be the biggest hits among games, and I think it'll be more successful for getting your name out than asking people to request things.

Well, there are people like me who would really like some custom songs in his game, but isn't exactly sure when he's going to release it. :P I'm saving the priority for other people who actually are deep in their development.
I do rather like your 90's song remix, and was considering using it in my game.
edit: Now that I've gone out and posted here, I may as well shoot out a request of my own. :P If others want music, though, put them in front of me. I should be the last of your priorities.

I was originally thinking of using this as my battle theme, but one big issue cropped up: there was no good MIDI version of it out there. Personally, I thought having it as an OGG or MP3 would make it...stand out too much from the rest of the soundtrack, so I abandoned the idea. If you want, could you make a regular battle theme in a similar vein as this song? Not the exact same thing, put any modifications you wish. :) Optimized for RMXP's (picky) synthesizer, of course.

Just be sure to include my name in your credits.

Eh, have no fear of that. I practice what I preach. :)
Now that is what I was going for. Nicely captures the strategic nature of the battle system, and very well suits the mood.
You wouldn't mind me asking for more, would you?

02 - Larger Then Usual
Based on Masami Ueda's Psycho Siren
The reason I used Psycho Siren was because of the shear tension of the track. I would like to keep this, and give it a good 165-195 tempo to keep things moving. Also, go wild with the oonce-bass if you want.
To be used as a mid-boss theme, or for more dangerous random encounter.
03 - Silenced One
Based on Masami Ueda's Ultra Violet
I use this for the first six main bosses. I basically want a feel of "why are we fighting?" That is, slow, menacing, and deliberate. Please, play up to organ, the strings, and the choir for this one.
This is the heavy-hitter, the main catch of the soundtrack.
04 - For The World
Based on Masami Ueda's Super Ultra Violet
This goes to the oh-shit fights. One of which is a tank. Basically the fights where the only hope of victory is a miracle, and least in the character's eyes. I'm envisioning guitar, choir, brass, and marching drums. Don't ask me why, but I've had a ditty stuck in my head, and those particular instruments were involved.
Getting these effectively removes all DMC music from my game (leaving inverted Shoji Meguro and FFXII midis :(). Feel free to take your time - this most certainly is NOT time-sensitive.

Hey Atavus Dei, here's your song. Enjoy and happy developing.

I sent you an email. Let me know if you get it or not. Thanks mate.
Edit: I forgot to say, MP3 format please.

Just out of curiosity, how exactly did you get so good at this?

Well, while I haven't been composing for very long, I've been doing music my whole life. I learned piano at age 3 and went on from there. I've taken band and jazz band every year possible (but then again, I'm only a highschool freshman, so I haven't been in school THAT long...) and I play keyboards and drums at my church of which my dad's the pastor. I'm glad you like my music.
I must complement you on your speed. Within an hour, you composed, sequenced, and produced a quality battle theme that fit pretty much the setting I had in mind, AND worked well with RMXP's synthesizer.
What program do you use for sequencing, out of curiosity?

Wow, I'm happy you're happy. :D, I use Anvil Studio, and when I need to turn it into an mp3, I just use 'Direct Midi to Mp3 converter', which not only does as its title describes, but also makes the midi sound very realistic. :o This is how I made 'My Guardian Angel' for Ephiam.
Hrm...Relyt, do you think I could request one small thing from you? It's not a full song or anything, but rather an edit of the one you've already made for me. Everything in it is great, but I'm just not too fond of the last 10~ seconds. There is nearly...too much drum? Up untill there it fit, but after that, well...=\
The part I'm talking about starts right at the end of 1:27, but doesn't really BEGIN 'till 1:28.

I actually think it sounds better with drum, and I'd even go so far as to say it loops better. But that's just my two cents.
(Yes, I chopped off the drums to see what it would sound like.)
Here you go, Ephiam.

Silenced One (I quite like how this track turned out...)

As for the third track, I'm not quite sure what you're trying to get at. I could make another boss theme, but I'm not quite sure what your 'little ditty' sounds like nor how Marching Percussion, Brass, Strings, and a Choir fit into it. Again, I'd be happy to make the third song, but I hope you don't mind different instrumentation.
Aside from that, enjoy!

Neh. I loved the rest of the song, but that part just irks me.
Oh, hey...yeah, I'm blind. I missed the link you put at the bottom of your post, Chaos. =P
You're right, the last part does make it loop better, doesn't it? Hrm...well, I dunno. =|
And did my PM reach you, Relyt?
Absolutely phenomenal, Relyt. Just... DAMN.
I can say no more.
