Unfortunately, yeah. Also, while I attempt to find a new converter (one that's free and uses soundfont conversion) I've been working on Adventures in Exclastia.

If you have any program that can play a MIDI with soundfont support, you can use something like Audacity to capture the Stereo Out and export it as a MP3 (or a WAV and then convert it to a MP3).
