DYSTOPIAN GAMES?

I'm watching The Running Man (again), and it made me think of how much I love the old 80's dystopian, shadow oppressed, mostly at night techno world setting that movies like that such as Blade Runner popularized back then. It sounds like a strange request, but does anyone suggest any video games that have that concept as a main setting, or even just elements of it? For example, I think the Midgar section of FF7 does it beautifully, but what else would you suggest for that kind of theme?
And yes, I've already thought of Shadowrun.

FALLOUT!! And.. FALLOUT 3!!
(You may opt to skip Fallout 2)
On FF7's Midgar, I agree, that was really well done for that. I don't remember entirely why the poor people couldn't just leave the city and move to Kalm though... or why the rich people were such dicks about building city layers above the poor people :P.
Anyways, I need to play more RPGs.

I played the hell out of the Fallout games. And because I'm just like that, I'll answer these as well

Barrett addressed this in the beginning of the game. Either it costs money that they don't have (you can apply the same reasoning to 'why doesn't everyone move out of the ghetto to Beverly Hills?'), and attachment to their homes.

To trap pollution and their garbage under them.
Mirror's Edge comes to mind. I actually didn't think Fallout because a dystopia is a bit of a different thing in my mind. So it automatically jumped to Mirror's Edge.
But if you're going for the technopunkish thingies then there's also (obviously) Deus Ex.

Syndicate You control a squad of cyborgs completing several missions in a very dark cyberpunk world
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Kind of like Fallout
Beneath a Steel Sky Very punkish, also a cool game, not to mention freeware!
BioShock More on the steampunk side, and a failed utopia, but it counts!

Haven't played them, but I always thought those were post-apocalyptic games.

Wouldn't you say the post-apocalypse world is pretty much the direct opposite of a utopia..? Rhe term "dystopia" is pretty loose, though, to be honest.
I guess if you dissect the actual meaning like this, then it is a pretty broad classification, but I got the feeling that this request was more of the 'oppressive regime' branch of dystopian fiction. i.e. any subgenre that ends with 'punk'.
I do have one suggestion. I haven't actually played it, I've just seen it played, so I might be a little off with some of the details, but... Breath of Fire V? A whole society (and I think a fairly technologically advanced one) forcibly living underground, the overriding plot goal seems to be pretty much just trying to get to the surface. Being Breath of Fire there's still dragon powers and stuff so it's not exactly pure cyber, but it might be close enough.
