Lost Legacy: An Animania Story (Second Installment)

The numerous e-mails and PMs from fans all over finally convinced both myself and my wife to continue the next installment of this game. I'll make a full post once I have some screens or something to show, instead of just empty-calorie words. But yeah, that's taking my main attention.

Unnamed Episodic Game
Been tinkering with the idea of an episodic game ever since January. A series of screwed up dreams that I had over a two day period while sick with the Flu have really inspired me. However, I don't want to start working on a full-length epic game while working on a full-length epic game (see above). So the current idea is to release this game as a series of episodes. :-\

Game Design Process 101 Article VI
This is one of the articles I've really been looking forward to writing. It deals with agents, avatars, triggers, events, etc. Probably will be about as technical as the Level Design article.

A-kon 2009 LARP
Not an RPGMaker Game, but I'm busy gearing up for the LARP event at A-kon in a month.

So all that, plus working on the new website at work, and helping rebuild a server...this Mayor is one Busy Little Bee.

I took a quick break from Daybringer to work on Wizardsong, which is a linear tragedy RPG that is about two hours long and will be finished today, Sunday or Monday. I started it two days ago, which means that while it will be 1/5 the length of Generica, it will be a complete story made in less time. =D

I am mostly just wishing I was more like Craze.
I have been working on my first project I call The Darkest Hour. I am currently doing this game in the RPG maker 03, I just don't like the XP or VX simply because too much scripting! My game is just in it's developmental stages but I have a lot of work in it. If you have dealt with variables and switches and custom art, then you know what I am talking about. I am going to implement a Custom Menu System as well as a custom Tactical Battle System. The story so far is simple and still needs alot of work, but I will give you a quick run down on what it is about.

Our hero, Lynch, is a very rude and disliked young man in his hometown. He lives with his father who is a well liked mercenary who wants nothing more than to find a better paying job so that his son, Lynch, can have a better future. Lynch dreams of being a mercenary himself, or Death Dealer, as it is properly called. Little does he know he is about to be caught up in the wheels of fate and his life will change forever.

Nero, a simple minded "special" teenager is Lynch's best friend or "Bully Buddy" who tries hard to earn the respect of his so called friend. He has a natural talent for healing and will shortly learn of his true abilities. He studies religion and law and his personal morals will be turned upside down as the apprentice Priest will follow his destiny and become the most ruthless Necromancer ever! The entire story will be a set up for these two, Lynch and Nero, to fight an epic battle that will not only change their lives forever, but the entire world of Othlore!

Other characters will be playable and have large roles in the story, but basically it will center around the redemption of both Lynchg and Nero.
I'm working on The Beyond, the psuedo sequel to One Night. In the new game (known as One Night: The Beyond), you play the part of a retired detective who is investigating the disapearances of several people connected with a fifty year old mansion known by those who know of it's dar history as simply The Beyond. Quite simply, anyone who's ever lived in or set foot in The Beyond is missing or has been murdered. Intending to find clues, your character decides to venture into The Beyond itself.
The game takes place 20 years before One Night, and is unrelated to the story of the previous game. The game is One Night in all but name, with the same gameplay, the same mysterious setting and atmosphere and the same fear, but now there's a completely new secret for you to uncover.
Okay I thought I was done with RPG making but every time I start playing someone else's game I get the urge to start up again. Plus, I feel bad because back in the day Ocean's Dream made the bestest character set and face set expressions for a game I never completed. So, with roughly the same plot and the same characters, I'm restarting an old project of mine called Till We Meet Again. Not quite sure where the story is going to go, but its a romanticy RPG for 2k with 5 possible candidates to end up with, three girls and two guys. ('cause ya need a variety of choices.)

;)

I'll run every scene through you before posting officially. ;D

EDIT: I think they fit your requirements there. One is a refined, quiet intellectual (also the twin brother of the main antagonist) and the other is a spunky naive kid (as well as the younger brother of the main character's best friend) who I guess yeah is kind of stupid, but in a cute way.

The World Tower

I'm going to finally scrap that nightmare of winding corridors I call my game's first "dungeon" and convert it into a simple hallway that should make back tracking a breeze

the big news today I guess is simply that I'm finally going to continue work on this thing

of course, being me, I decide to do this when I'm most busy and 1 month before taking a huge vacation where I won't have computer access ::)
Beta-testing Notes on the Second Mellynd War. There are so many errors, here at the start! I guess a year and a half ago, I didn't notice that kind of thing. Almost everybody I speak to, I need to go into the editor and put in a comma, or separate the text from the ellipsis, (...like this, look how disgusting it is) or something. Bear in mind I am a bit of an obsessive a perfectionist, and while that's probably a good way to be for RPG Maker, it makes all of this really quite annoying!

It's usually only little things, but, yeah. I've made so many updates anyway, I'm considering taking down the old download link, until the next demo's finished... anyone else ever had anything like this?

Also, it seems like for the 'Acquired ' message, for half the game so far I've put 'Usage: Heals HP' and for the other half I've put 'Usage: Restores HP'. Damn it! *goes through every 'got healing item' in game*

What the hell, past Eike? What the hell.
Taking the idea for Necrolord and making it into something solid. Let's see how far I can go with this.
Java 2D game tutorial.

In it, I'll be making an R-Type clone, a puzzle, a Snake/Nibbles clone, a Breakout clone, a Tetris clone, a Pacman clone, a Space Invaders clone and a Minesweeper clone.

Should be fun!
All in Java, kentona? I feel sorry for you -- Java is UGLEH.

I'm slowly (key word: slowly; yay for end of the school year) working on stat curves for my game, as you could probably tell from my last blog post (like anyone checks the blogs).
pshaw! I guess some could see it that way, but I like it. Easier than C/C++ in many ways, at least.

And check this shit out:
