If we are talking about NINTENDO-made games, then yes I am disappointed in their efforts. But that is what they have turned into, so better get used to it. :)
Well, I've been kind of disappointed with the Wii. To be fair, I feel Nintendo's released a lot of really good games over the last few years... but it's mostly Nintendo with a few outliers.

I was happy with MadWorld and I'm looking forward to Muramasa, the Conduit, and a few others, but I'm not going to get my hopes up for Nintendo's "triple-A" title for Christmas. Hopefully they'll just keep hits coming on the Virtual Console, while meanwhile I play my X-Box.

I have been disappointed with Nintendo since 1996. :-\

I hope they will be breaking this bad 13 year track record soon!
The days of the SNES are long gone. The only good thing about Nintendo is the DS which is largely thanks to Atlus and Square Enix IMO.

Metroid Prime gave me motion sickness.

I keep waiting for the revival of the 2D platformer in the WiiWare section. It's coming, people! Just you wait and see!

Unfortunately we won't be able to find it, being buried in the latest shovelware releases involving motion-controlled party games with crappy animation...

The problem with the 2D platformer revival is that it's not happening in the WiiWare section it's happening in the Virtual Console section.

Because, to be honest, I think that thre's not a whole lot you can bring to the 2d platformer anymore. The best 2d platformer games have already been made. Any new 2d platformer will always suffer from the "Oh it's pretty good but damn those games in the 90s were better overall but I'm starving so I'll get this oh wait there's all these retro games for sale too I guess I'll buy those instead of this average new product!"
I would love a great new 2D RPG. There was so much more to flesh out in them that had never happened. Someone should upgrade the graphical style of Wild ARMS on a current system and make a huge game with it.

Canuck, has it completely escaped your attention that you are posting on a site dedicated to creating great new 2D RPGs? ;)
