Hmm, I remember seeing this like, a year ago.

I was... kinda hoping there were be something more than a menu by now. I mean, I have always wanted to play FF7...

Me too... But, you know, he stated(a year ago) that after the menu is finished, most things for the battle system(statistics, spells, etc.) would be all done already, and he´d only have to configure the battle options menu, ATB and such. I think, if my memory didn´t failed at me. And the menu is Almost complete, ´xept for a few bugs. (i think, as i could see.)
A Final Fantasy 7 2D framework would be cool to have. Then you could just graft your own story, characters, items, spells, etc... into it.

FF7 had an interesting game design.

That's a really good idea.
Like Darken said, the lack of auto scroll is a real pain, but other than that it's a great replica.

i don`t think it`d be any better if the menu was horridly laggy with the autoscroll> somethings are just impossible with rpg two thousand three< and reminding this is just bothering< really>

p>s: i wrote two thousand three because i am with an adherence keys problem> i am not retarded>

While my systems are definitely designed with the ability to be plugged into any game. I doubt I'll ever make the code public, or release an SDK for others to use. I'm not saying this because I'm selfish, but its really a precaution to prevent the rm2k3 scene being flooded by poorly concieved prequels/sequels. Anyone who's serious about putting time into a venture like that should have the motivation to make their own systems. This is basically the same problem plaguing XP and VX due to the widespread availability of system scripts - there is no form of quality assurance because anyone can get their hands on systems to support their game. In the bigger picture, I don't think anyone would benefit from me releasing the code for the systems.
Can the contents of the file not be opened to use?
An impressive, if utterly pointless, effort.

Needs a game with it.

Thats the plan. Sadly I have to build the systems first in order to gauge the feasibility of the entire project. Theres been quite a few attempts at an FF7 2D remake before - so far as I can tell there have been 3 realistic attempts at it. All 3 failed because they couldn't implement the custom systems. So I figured that was the best place to start.
