With rpg maker vx
how do you stop a character for re-apearing?, After a character joins the party when you leave the screen and go back to the same screen the character come back?, The way i can do it.. is to make two maps the same
But im sure they must be a better way!, Any idears?

You want to make an event disappear for good once it's been run through, right? Make another event page, leave it blank, and make it require Self Switch A to be on. Then, on page 1 of the event, add a Control Self Switch command to turn Self Switch A on at the very bottom.

You probably didn't set it to require the self switch to be on. It's in the top left corner on the event page; you need to check a box near "Self Switch" and make sure A is selected.
If the requirements for more than one event page are met, it'll display the one with the highest number. If event page 2 requires self switch A to be on, then it'll give page 2 priority over page 1. If not, then page 1 has priority because it's the highest (and the only) page.
