What program do I use to make games? Topic

I am new here and I was just wondering what program you guy's are using to make games. I assumed it was RPG maker correct? Which version is the most recent and where can I download or buy it from?

Well, the latest version is RPG Maker VX. You can download the trial here:

DO NOT LINK TO WAREZ

in the Utilities/Downloads section, and you can purchase it via the trial.

RMXP is also popular too, the trial is also hosted on the linked site.

Finally, people also like to use the older 2000 and 2003 versions a fair bit. They are freeware, and are also hosted on the above site.

A correction for Dark Gaia:

RM2k/2k3 are not considered freeware, they are considered warez. We do not allow links that contain downloads of these programs to be knowingly posted on our site.

Do a google search and you will find links to all four of the programs he is talking about.

Oh, I am terribly sorry. I was under the impression they were freeware as that is what RRR lists them as.
