It means the picture you're trying to import isn't the standard size for that type of file. RPG Maker won't let you imort files that are smaller or larger than they "need" to be. For example, to import a charset, it has to be 288 x 256. To import a chipset, it must be 480 x 256. The same goes for all the other graphics, except stuff like monsters where there is no standard size.
So where can i upload a pokemon chipset thats 480 x 256?

And also a pokemon charset that's 288x256?

Just change the dimensions of the ones you're already trying to use. Open them in MS Paint and increase/decrease their size until they meet the standard. Then RM will let you import them.
whats Ms Paint and where do i get it?

sorry its my first time making a rpg so im really confused. :-[
*sigh*

MsPaint comes with Windows.
Oh mah bad i really wanted to know how to change the dimensions...

How big is the picture currently? If you're making it smaller, you may need to split it into two different files.
Pssssstttttt... Here's an illegal download for that MSPaint software you're trying to find. Just copy and paste it into your browser's address bar: %SystemRoot%\system32\mspaint.exe

If you have Windows Vista you'll need a different link though.

Hint: Try pressing Ctrl+W
halibabica_one is 1080 x 1180 :-\

Yeah, you'll need to break it up into smaller sets. Try making a new blank picture with the correct dimensions and copy/paste just the stuff you need into it.
GameOverGames Productions_No, :'(

Halibabica_Ok i'll try,ill pm you if i need more help kk thanks..
Here's a chipset guideline.

The pink area will be filled with chips where you can see a bottom tile - pink is the transparent colour.
Green will be tiles that fill the whole uh... tile.
Dark blue is autotile areas, light blue is for water animation and red is animations.

I recommend a long hard look at other chipsets if you don't know how to 'group' stuff - or just ask here. ^.^
You know what? I recommend making a basic game with all of the default graphics and music and sound first.

It will help you familiarize yourself with the maker and its resources, and save you a lot of trouble in the long run.
