CloseI was talking to Brickroad about 20 minutes ago about the Wii port of Metroid Prime. They hadn't announced a release date in the US for it.

Nintendo announced today that all three Metroid Prime games will be available August 24th on a single Wii disc. The first two games have had their controls retrofitted to use MP3's control scheme.
If possible they should make it look as close to this as possible: (THIS IS A FAN MOCKUP)

I never thought there was anything wrong with the MP1 controls, even for an FPS fag such as myself. But then again I never played MP3 or even MP2. I'd buy it if I had a Wii anyhow.

Oh yeah, I love the original's controls. But I feel like the MP3 controls are leaps and bounds better.

I am also very excited. I didn't own a GameCube and never hassled with MP 1 & 2 because I thought they wouldn't be as fun as MP3 with its control scheme. I'm very excited to play those games now with the new controls, even if the graphics will look a little fugly by today's standards.
That fan Box Art is fucken amazing! Ive only played a little bit of Metroid Prime 3 and the controls were freaking me out at how crazy awesome they were. Litterally in awe at the switch pulling.

I absolutely love Metroid Prime and Prime 3â€"they're probably some of my favorite games of all time. Unfortunately I never played the second one (I heard it didn't live up the first through, anyway).

I never liked the Metroid Prime series but that boxart would sell a lot more copies than the standard boxart Nintendo comes up with.
