Correct me if I'm wrong but that kind if thing is genetic and not shaving for a long time probably won't make much of a difference. Instead you will have to suffer with scruffy facial hair for a long time.

Ya, that's homemade science I'm pretty sure... People who believe that fail to realize that they have to shave more because THEY'RE GETTING OLDER not because they shaved one time. It's like saying that going to school makes you taller, because look! The longer you've been in school.... the taller you are!!!! Wow! I r so smrt! :P
yeah pretty much that, but also the observed effect is the hairs growing back blunt instead of tapered (because you've cut them off, essentially)

And iirc hair does grow back quicker the more you cut it. Also it grows back thicker (I'm just full of random knowledge P:)
