I looked it up, and found that is only loosely based on the book. The Japanese name is something else, but the company added the "Count of Mone Cristo. This is the real name: (???, Gankutsu??, literally The King of the Cave)

That makes sense, because the Count of Monte Cristo is created because of a cave. =D
