They showed a trailer for an open-world Final Fantasy game, The Crystal Bearers. Bad voice acting, but it looked interesting, IMO.

New FF Crystal spinoff title, looks very steam punk, which I'm open to. As for NSMB: yeah it seems so, but it has awesome co-op where you can be a dick to your friends and throw each other around.
My only gripe with the new Metroid is that the subtle, atmospheric, immersive (FEELS LIKE I'M REALLY ALL ALONE ON AN ANCIENT PLANET) stuff is lost. And knowing Team Ninja they'll be sure to over sexualize Samus even more. :( But hey its a fucking 2.5D Metroid, I shouldn't complain.

Haha oh wow, every console now is waggle fun! I thought Sony's Eyetoy demo was impressive but Wii Motion + can do the same thing. Only game that seems interesting was that MGS Peace Maker for the PSP that isn't a spin off title. Final Fantasy 14 surprised me... until I realized it was basically Final Fantasy 11-2. Rest was just snorefest.

I think Sony's was good because of the number of announcements. Of course, when you run for an hour longer than Nintendo, you could imagine they'd show more.

No, Sony's EyeToy/Motion Controller is the closest to 1:1 movement we've seen yet from a motion controller.

yeah, I think the way they presented it is kind of paving the way for developers too. obviously Sony's developer relations being a lot better than Nintendo's it's to be expected but they have already sown the seeds of cool game ideas.

I don't know bro, both archery demos looked exactly the same except that the guy was shooting at orcs instead of an archery target.
I missed Nintendo's whole conference because I was at school. However, I keep hearing about Golden Sun DS which piqued my interest.
Sony's conference, or roughly the half of it that I saw, was good. The eyetoy wand thing actually looks pretty impressive, even if it is just a knockoff Wiimote.

Sonys conference.. :-\. For the PSP it was great, the PS3 haha lets show multiplatform games and two wii motes in production. I expected more, The Last Guardian and God of War were the only good things about their show for the PS3.
That track thing though was alright, customization was pretty well done. Lol at the two in production Wii motes haha. Nintendo should sue.

Here's the thing, though: Sony's doesn't need an additional peripheral to do 1:1 motion tracking. Sony's conference was far and away the best of show as of right now.
EDIT: Oh yeah, God of War 3, Uncharted 2, Modnation Racers, MAG, and GT5 are ALL multi-platform. Right. ::)

Lol project natal with no announced release date and visible glitches during the public showing, amirite?!
And as much as I love MGS, MGS:Rising didn't even have a trailer, and buzz is growing that it's only a TIMED exclusive at that.
The only exclusives I can recall from MS's conference are the two Halo titles. The rest were multiplatform (FF13, MW2, RB: Beatles).
