I am opening an ANIMATED cutscene service in which I will draw a cutscene of your choice, and animate any sort of scene you want.
A love scene
A fight scene
A crossroad scene
Anime Opening (I wont like this..)
Credits (I wont like it if its anime.. but damnit I'll do it and hate you later)
WHATEVER. This scene will be full of things such as cinematic camera angles, VA'ing, and blah blah blah. After my first customer receives his/her cutscene ANIMATED in flashMX any other cutscenes will be available for a price. 20 bucks per minute which is infinitesimally cheaper than most other artists.
Since the first customer that I accept will be free, you best hurry up dawg.
P.S. if you cant provide the Voice Actors.. I'll provide them for you. I have an assload of voice actor friends that does professional VAing.

Anyway, FOR FREE, I would like an awesome maybe fifteen to thirty second scene of two mages (magic users) dueling with spells only (no weapons) in a sandy, blood spattered, and torn arena with an audience of thousands of wildly cheering spectators. Magical effects should be flashy and spectacular, lots of leaping into the air and flying around and so forth, wild camera-spinning and slo-mo if possible. No voice acting is necessary except generic grunts, etc- likewise I can provide spell sound effects (just use the RMVX RTP).
This is going to be used as an intro animation for a game called Mage Duel, like just a brief flash of cool stuff after you start the game but before the title comes up and character creation starts. A "demo" in other words, more than an intro.
I am only interested in being the first customer since that costs me nothing except the time it took to write the above description. If this comes out SUPER AWESOME and the price is MEGA-REASONABLE I will consider purchasing more animations.

Okay what I have so far
Scene one, a mage climbs up a rope and enters the field. (first person view)
Scene two, the camera from birds eye view watches the mage.. a bird flies by the camera.. A cloud moves infront of the camera.. and when it moves out of the way
Scene three, the camera is behind the mage (sort of) as he walks towards the crowd he greets a girl.. the crowd is ecstatic. Roses are falling left and right. The girl flirtatiously waves he hands her the rose by sticking it in her hair. (still drawing this scene)
Scene four, the camera is now behind the girl as he walks towards the field away from the stands.
Scene five, the mage rival is introduced
Scene six, they begin fighting.
Scene seven, the mage casts a flame spell which zooms in towards the camera followed by a "WOOSH" sound then the game title appears "Mage Duel"

Anyway, the animation looks OK so far... No I wouldn't pay for something like that, but it's not bad for a free offer.
Hopefully you improve a bit before you start charging.

I thought Max McGee's idea sucked for an intro to a game.. so I'm making a 2 minute music video.
Why? Because I can.. screw the rules. Until I can get to my animation computer and use photoshop to draw shit.. I have to use the palette in Flash.. which is like the palette in MSPaint.. which is very limited. The animation is coming along though.
Since this is a free video, I am free to submit this to Deviant art and Newgrounds.com.

Why? Because I can.. screw the rules. Until I can get to my animation computer and use photoshop to draw shit.. I have to use the palette in Flash.. which is like the palette in MSPaint.. which is very limited. The animation is coming along though.

Flash isn't limited by colors.
Go Window -> Color (or Shift + F9)
should get a window that pops up like so ~
(sorry bout the crap quality) - Red arrows you can adjust just like you have in Photoshop. Alpha works a bit different than Photoshop's Opacity, but it's due to Flash being a vector app, it follows vector rules instead of raster. Type drop down menu in the upper right you can make gradients with. If you want to save the colors you can open the Swatches menu and add them in there too.
Anyway you draw nice, I look forward to seeing the animation.

Do you know if it has a dodge, burn, and blur tool in thar too?
No dodge or burn. Blur... eh kinda. If you're on Flash 8 or higher (CS3/CS4) you can convert graphics to a movieclip (select and press F8) and then use a blur filter on it. It doesn't really work like Photoshop's blur tool though. Works more like a gaussian blur filter. Kind of all or nothing.

Ah, I didn't think it was but I haven't touched Paint since the Windows 3.1 days. Guess that time I would have been ok just talking out of my ass. Oh well ~
