SPATE OF CELEBRITY DEATHS (MICHAEL JACKSON)
Posts
The previous generation always talks about how they remember where they were when Kennedy died.
I'll be able to say I was in my brother's apartment mooching free internet until the wee hours of the morning while sipping on a flat coke with my baby sleeping next to me when Michael Jackson died.
How about the rest of you? ;D

I do believe you meant inarguably.
Have a tribute video. Or three.

That's just unlikely, I'm sure more than 3 people died between each of those celebs.
We're not discussing the deaths of nobodies.
You mistook the comment. I was referring the old wive's tale of death/bad news in 3's. 3 celebrities died. My comment was about them, not inclusive to any other deaths.
Depressing.
I saw an interesting comment on the BBC website at school today, something like: "It's amazing how people start mourning for 'Wacko Jacko' when he dies, when previously they taunted him when he needed them the most." Can't help but think how true that is. :(

I noticed today that every shop I went into was playing non-stop Micheal Jackson! Seriously, you'd go into one shop and hear Thriller being played, head over to the next and Smooth Criminal would be on, by the time you got to the store down the end of the road it was on to Billie Jean! All of these shops also had his albums at reduced prices XD
RIP Micheal Jackson, your music was actually pretty good.

author=Asalieri link=topic=4072.msg82890#msg82890 date=1245972180idk if you know much about john f. kennedy or the ramifications of his murder at that particular time but yeah, not really comparable at all.

Who did Michael Jackson always compare to?
The answer, ladies and gentlemen, is Elvis Presley. For instance, Michael Jackson self named himself "The King Of Pop". If you read any paper about Michael Jackson's death, it will probably mention such things.
So isn't it obvious? Michael Jackson was in so much debt, was getting sued every month or so, and had a tour coming up for which he wouldn't see a dime. He really didn't have much left for himself.
Perhaps he pulled an Elvis, and disappeared from the face of the earth?
(yes, I do have slight beliefs of the Elvis Conspiracy.)

It's weird, I heard he was right on the brink of a comeback tour.
Michael Jackson is NOT dead. I saw him on my lawn last night.

See? There he is, and he's clearly okay. He's just dancing it up with the other zombies in my neighborhood.
In all seriousness, though, this is a real shame. He's practically a legend...albeit a freaky one. I guess it's true what they say: artists aren't fully appreciated until they're dead.
